Women's Favourite Work

Greetings my lovely friends!

Favorite work for any one would be based on their own passions and talents. However, as I'm living in a country with a male dominant culture, there are certain limitations that women have to face pursuing their dreams. So based on my experience, I will share the details to this contest about women's favorite work.

Which work do women like to do the most?

---

When I think about Sri Lankan context, I have observed that for generations Sri Lankan women are mostly managing the household. I don't know whether they prefer it or that is what their favorite thing to do! Some women may enjoy caring the family and running the house while their husbands outside the home finding money. Otherwise, it could be a traditional and genetic aspect to leave the women inside the house and men are out in searching for food. Anyhow, that's how the majority lives.

Personally for me I like to do creative work, I love fashion and make others beautiful too so I chose my job as a beautician. I believe many girl love this field because who doesn't want to be beautiful!

Generally, in Sri Lankan culture, women tend to aspire to become air hostesses, nurses, or teachers, as these professions are in high demand and high in respect. So, we can assume these are the Women's Favourite Work in Sri Lanka.

How do women take out time from their daily routine to do what they love?

As I'm running a salon and meeting several ladies, I know as a fact that they find very little time for themselves. After they get married they have many responsibilities in the household and they have to look after the kids if they have any. So taking a time off for what they want to do is almost impossible.

However, when they get a helping hand from some relatives or friends they can carve out time for what they like. Also, some families also share household responsibilities between husbands and wives. Then the wife has time to do what she love. However, to do that you should be fortunate to have such supportive husband.

Are women bored doing their favorite work?

---

Personally, I don't think that I will ever get bored of what I'm doing because this is my passion and this is what I want to do for rest of my life. If someone finds themselves getting bored, that might be an indication of that, they are not doing their favorite thing to do. So, it is better to rethink about what you are doing and find the true passion inside you.
