Greetings, everyone! Trust we're all good and excited to catch with this session of Choices. What is my choice for this week? Guess...

✅ART

Have you ever thought of how it is possible to convey information, express imagination and apply creative skills? Art is what answers this question. Art in diverse ways helps us in communicating, expressing our imaginations, applying our creative skills and making beautiful creatives out of some local materials and advanced materials.

Artworks are sometimes displayed in a museum, open areas like a park, offices, schools, churches, etc. Art can be divided into different forms; sculpture, painting, drawing, music, literature, dance, digital art, spoken words and film.

✅IMPORTANCE OF ART

The importance of art cannot be overemphasized. To the best of my knowledge, art ;

• defines our origin and in association keeps the history and culture of our origin.
• it gives room for expression. Artworks do not have rigid rules, one just needs to be creative and own skills that would enable imaginations to be put into art. One could express thoughts, emotions, experiences through art.
• it enables one communicate with a large number of people in ways they can easily understand.
• it sharpens creative thinking abilities.
• it has a way of expressing our humane characteristics while trying to decipher the message conveyed through the artworks by the artist.
• artworks add beauty to our surroundings.
• one can discover his strengths and weaknesses through art.
• artworks can be used to educate people about happenings.
• art is quite necessary in education as this helps increase the interest of the learners.

✅THE FORM OF ART I INDULGE IN

I have always loved artworks, from music to drawing to painting and lots more. Although I have a flair for the various forms of art, I indulge in drawing more and this is because it is one I can do confidently even though I haven't gotten to perfection yet.

Drawing acts as a recreational activity for me and at the same time a skill I want to learn well. I love drawing and this is because I have come to learn a lot from it. Although the tools I use for drawing cannot speak to my hearing, they do speak to my mind.

Care to know what the tools I use for drawing says to my mind? Here we go.
The basic tools I use are; pencil, paper, eraser, sharpener.

• The paper I normally use is a plain sheet and it tells me that I'd always have new phases to face in life and I am to determine what I scribble on it.
• The pencil is what amplifies my imagination or a replica. It tells me that with putting in work, I can amplify the imaginations I normally have or I can replicate a role model I admire.
• The eraser gives me the impression that mistakes are inevitable in all phases of life and the ability to notice to hose mistakes and make the necessary corrections is what would make the outcome well finished and beautiful.
• The sharpener gives me the impression that getting along with people who intend getting similar goals like mine in life will help me stay on course and get the encouragement needed to stay pit until we see the beautiful outcome we've made.

Art has a way of making one feel heard, understood and also giving out lessons both to the artist who makes the artwork and those who get to see the artwork. Art is quite interesting although it demands a interest, dedication, consistency and motivation.
I love art.
