Goodybest's Diary Sunday 26th May 2024: Attending Christian Meeting and Hosting Some New Steemians Friends.

Dear ladies ♥️, I hope your week is going well, mine is fun! Today I would like to share how I spent last Sunday with you, it was a day filled with spiritual activities and I later spent the day with some newbies in my house and we had a good time together!

I woke so early because it was My Curation day, after praying I started using the SC06 account to support different authors on the platform, I read so many interesting posts but I paused around 7 AM to do my house chores, I swept and dusted everywhere and then prepared tea and bread for breakfast for us.

I was invigorated after having my breakfast, so I finished up with the Curation, filled out the Google sheet, and then chose the best post of the day. After that, I studied our Watchtower journal with my kids in advance so that they could make comments while studying at our place of worship. I prepared 6 paragraphs with them because that was what their attention could carry, and I prepared bible portions with them. They are always eager to comment on our Christian meetings so I chatted with our Watchtower conductor in advance that they like to read certain bible portions

At 10 in the morning, we prepared and left for our Christian meeting by 11:30 AM. The meeting was just on point, so encouraging and refreshing! I was especially touched by the Watchtower article, the theme was that I can persevere despite disappointment 😥. The world is becoming more turbulent than ever and as such it may be difficult to put up with both our imperfections and that of others. We may be sad and disappointed because of our own shortcomings, feeling like we are a failure especially if we find ourselves repeating the same mistakes time and again. We may be disappointed when our fellow believers offend us and our spouses disappoint us.

But we can persevere if we learn to see things from our heavenly father's standpoint, and are fully dependent on him no matter what. We should love others as we love ourselves, and be freely forgiving, accepting the fact that we are imperfect. We should love and respect our married mates and view marriage as sacred and holy!

The meeting ended with a song and prayer, after that, we exchanged greetings before we left, my husband took us to Crunchies and bought bread and Ice cream 🍦 we also bought some soft drinks and Hot at a supermarket in preparation for our visitors.

Getting home, we showered because the weather was so hot, I fed my baby and left for the market to buy some foodstuff I would be using to prepare soup for our visitors. They arrived by 4:30 in the evening and we were so happy that they honored our invite. We serve them with drinks and groundnuts first.

After welcoming them I went back to the kitchen to prepare something delicious 😋 the Okra soup, it was night already before I finished, so I served everyone the meal and they enjoyed it so much!

After dinner, we discussed so many things, I shared my experience on the platform with them and encouraged them to be active and consistent. We discussed other things and at the same time watched Nat Geo Wild, we were in awe of God's creations it revealed his power, wisdom, and love.

The one that touched me the most was when a young bird fell from a high mountain, the mother didn't forsake her she did all her best to save the baby bird 🐦 oh my, my heart almost skipped out of my mouth, but I was happy that the little bird survived it even with the high fall. I learned something from Both the young bird and the mother, that I should never give up in life when facing challenges, I should persevere no matter what and I will come out victorious.

Our friends left by 9 PM and my husband gave them a ride, we showered and reminisced about the day, and I felt satisfied because I shared what I had with others, the feeling was mutual and I retired for the day!
