Adventures-My experience

Hello friends, it's my delight to be here with you dear ladies after a while, and I would like to talk about some adventures I've experienced.

It was supposed to be for last weeks choices contest by @patjewel due to some issues I entered late, but I'll just make it as a post here In the community.

To me Adventure is the umbrella word for all the other topics In today's choices. It is defined as a fun outdoor activity, that is exciting and filled with uncertainties. Adventures are fun, it can be incredibly exciting to have a fun experience that you didn't expect.

I remember one adventure of mine I had, that was when we visited my Maternal family.
We went to the village, it was filled with so many exciting events but I'm just gonna share two of them.

One was when we were so late to go out and we ran out of water, then there was no means for pumping water, so we didn't know where we were going to fetch from because the closest stream was very far away from home.

So we cancelled most of our plans for that day and headed out in an opposite direction to see if we could find a nearer place to fetch water, it was an uncivilized place, so we were using the dirt track, so many highs and lows, we just kept on moving, we had in mind that we must look for where to get water, that day.

We went on walking, we were practically exploring the environment, we took so many pictures of many things, we all carried basins, and I carried a cutlass along with a basin, while we paused to take a picture, my junior cousin suddenly screamed and started crying, we thought it was a tantrum that someone should carry her, not until we saw the snake she was screaming so much about. It was around the neck of my other cousin, he had dosed off under a big tree and the snake climbed down to how body.

We looked around for something to kill it, that was when I remembered that I came with a cutlass, I gave it to the oldest boy there, he waited for the snake to go down the neck before my cousin summoned up bravery and flung the snake away from his body, where my big cousin killed it.

It was a very scary experience and we wanted to go home, but I suddenly heard the calm sound of waves, I told them that there was a river down there, we entered a turn and walked a bit and lo and behold, there was a big stream, which was closer than the other one, we filled our basins and went home. It was super exciting.

The second experience was the last day in the village, we were to return the next day, we all felt bad that the enjoyment was coming to an end, we decided to take a stroll, this stroll was along a path we had never taken before, and we were told it led to another village.

I was ever ready for such an exciting adventure, because we had no idea what we were going to meet, so we started strolling, we left the house around 2pm, the weather was very cool then.

We began walking, we came upon a house, it was made with mud, and had a thatched roof, we found it interesting and went around it and took pictures.

We left and kept on walking, we came upon so many turns that we were practically lost, soon we came upon a very big and beautiful house, it was so pretty, but it was the only house we had seen in that entire area, we took a risk, or with our youthful vigour we knocked on the gate, a man came out with a stony face, and what made my heart skip a beat was that dog, I'll never forget that dog, it glared at me like I had taken something from It.

Not impressed with what we saw we simply asked the man the direction to the next village, he told us to keep moving forward, we kept moving and moving, then I recalled that the landmark was a popular oil milling factory, we almost gave up, but we took a turn and saw the factory, no one was there, we personally cracked a bag full of nuts, and satisfied with the fun we experienced we began heading back home, we had been receiving so many incessant calls from our parents so we went home.
We got home by 8:27pm exactly and we related the experience to those who didn't attend, we played so many games before we slept and finally left the next day.

It was a very exciting adventure and I kinda hope to experience such again, thanks to the hostess for creating such a topic to write on.
