Classrooms are found in educational institutions of all kinds, ranging from to universities, and may also be found in other places where education or training is provided, such as corporations humanitarian organizations. The classroom provides a space where learning can take place undisturbed by outside distractions.

What is classroom management?

Classroom management comprises of variety of skills and methods that teachers can use to create a high-performing learning environment.

At its basic, it aims to ensure classes run thoroughly, disorderly behaviour from students is kept to the lowest level, and teaching materials and activities promote learning. The paramount goal is to ensure that both the students and the teacher get the most out of the classroom experience.

Good classroom management should aim to do the following:

1 Create an arranged and functional environment for the teacher and students
2 Establish liberty for academic learning and personal growth
3 Reduce improper classroom behaviour and other interruptions
4 Be time-efficient and ensure learning time is always organize
5 Make sure students are focused, motivated, and fruitful.
6 Promote an equitable environment that caters for all ability levels.

It’s important to remember that achieving successful classroom management is a process. While the above is the basic of what effective classroom management is all about, how you approach it can depend on several elements,

Lecture Classrooms

Classrooms with level floor and capacity of 17-150.All classrooms contain tables/desks, with fully rooted technology.

Auditoria Lecture Classrooms

Classrooms stadium seating with a capacity of 67-247. All contain desks with fully rooted technology.

Case Study Classrooms

Classrooms seating with the capacity of 60-65. All contain tables with fully rooted technology.

Seminar Classrooms

Classrooms with seating at tables, with seating capacity of 14-24. Tables usually set in solid. Majority contain AV cabinets with fully rooted technology.

Interactive Computer Classrooms

Classrooms with level floor or seating with capacity of 32-44. All have a desktop monitor and face the teaching area. Each room contains a lectern or lectern with fully rooted technology.
