Choices! What will it be? #80

For my involvement in Choices! What will it be? #80 organized by @patjewell in the Steem for Ladies community, I have chosen to write about a topic that fascinates me: Robotics. Robotics is one of the powerful engineering fields in today’s world, which is building up the future technology for the machine to work for different task previously done by human beings. From the production line, medicine, to even space, robotics has greatly improved the rate and accuracy as well as overall safety. With the increasing importance of the robotic system in the later stages of post-industrial society, robotics remains to offer many potential to help revolutionize the society.

Whenever I hear of robotics, I feel very happy and rather thrilled. While this field includes engineering, computer science, and technology it is not only a futuristic preview, but it is also a present-day reality. Skeptical as many people were some decades ago about robots as creatures depicted in all kind of films and other productions, they have become a permanent part of many industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, service industries and science as well as a part of the everyday life.

One of the wonderful things about the robotics is that it affords an opportunity to increase effectiveness and output. In industries, it is possible for robots to work and finish cyclic and tedious jobs seven days a week with little or no mistakes at all. It also saves time and makes manufacturing easier and at the same time directs human labor to more creative, challenging, and the superior roles that cannot be performed by machines. Newer technology helps eliminate time-consuming work so that organizations can invest in new ideas to advance in different fields.

However, individual consideration is also paid to the fact that robotics is reinventing healthcare. For example, surgical robots are used in technique surgeries that means short recovery time for the patient. Another application involved in care involves the use of robots to offer special attention and care together with physical monitoring to patients. The use of robots in healthcare system can help in making efficient healthcare services, but at the same time create new opportunities for advancing healthcare technology.

In education, such a technology as robotics enhances creativity as well as critical thinking among students. It is noted that applying and developing programs that teach robotics stimulates problem solving and value of team work, which is important in the marketplace. This is informed by the fact that as students design and build robots they are able to have real life interaction in mastering the STEM concepts. And it does awaken further interest in the subject in students, hence contributing to the creation of some new ideas and thoughts in the future.

Nevertheless, the intended benefits derived from robotics must be embraced with some standards of which are considered as ethical. The progressive introduction of automated systems to industries and business is a burning issue related to employment. These are issues which it is very important for us to address appropriately, so as to guarantee that robotics yields positive results for everyone even in as much as it offers disadvantaged and gives possibilities for retraining.

Therefore, robotics is much greater than the definition to be accompanying the new technology; it is a tool with an enormous ability to enhance global society. Even as robotics is introduced in various sections of our lives I strongly believe that the impacts its introduction will bring will be positive. Taking on the technological age of Robotics today means having a better efficient and connected future tomorrow.
