Assalamualaikum, how are you all? Hope everyone is well. By God's grace, I am fine too. Today, we will talk to you about the famous Chuijhal of Khulna. When you talk about Khulna, the beautiful Sundarbans and colourful prawns float in front of your eyes. The traditional dish known as Chuijhal seems to be the first thing visitors from outside the city look for. Chui cultivation and market in Khulna region is currently very profitable.

Taking advantage of its popularity, many accommodation and dining establishments have sprung up around Chui. Some restaurants called Chuijhal Gau or Chuijhal Khasi have become very popular. Foodies from all over the country and from Khulna travel daily to sample this dish. Chui is known for its unique taste - it is salty. Jhalata, however, is addicted to drugs in a different way. But not too much. Once chewy is eaten, this sensation intensifies the taste. This unique variety of spices is recognized and valued everywhere, including residences, hotels and restaurants. The southwestern districts of Bangladesh are where Chuijhal is primarily remembered as a spice. The southern cities of Khulna, Satkhira and Bagerhat are known for their Chuijhal.

The betel vine can be mistaken for a chui tree. There are no scales on its leaves. We cut its roots, stems and vines and use them in food. Some melted, chewy beets are sucked or chewed after cooking. Khulna Halim, Jhalmuri, and Chui are widely used nowadays to enhance the taste and aroma and win over the customers. Located near Chuknagar Bazaar in Dumuria upazila of Khulna, Hotel Abbas is famous domestically and internationally for its khasi meat cooked with chuijhal. Beyond Shibbari, the meat of Chuijhal has become popular in Khulna's Zero Point and now in Dhaka. Chuizhal-mixed beef cooking has developed into a kind of regional "brand".

Chui cuttings can be planted near the base of the plant or at a slightly elevated position. Elevated sites are ideal for growing chuijhal plants. If water accumulates at the bottom, the tree rots. Chuijhal vines are planted on Baisakh-Jaishtha and Ashwin-Karti. One to one and a half maunds can usually be a piece of chui plant. The Chui tree bears fruit in addition to flowers. Cui flowers are produced on different vines for male and female flowers. Naturally, pollination occurs. Red, long flowers. It is remotely similar to pepper. Closer inspection reveals the fruit's inherent artistic craftsmanship. And from the seed, the seedling sprouts. The cui seedlings they sell have helped at least ten farmers in Khulna become millionaires. Satkhira, Bagerhat, Jessore, and Khulna are among the places where it is extensively cultivated. Depending on the quality, Chui is sold at Tk 400 to Tk 1700 per kg.

Still, this price is more than two thousand rupees in the Eid market. The most expensive roots are underground. Pulses and pulses are also offered for sale at a competitive price. Due to its wide popularity in the divisional area, there has been a proposal to market Chuijhal as an agricultural product of Khulna. Given the region's demand, many small and big Chuijhal nurseries have been developed in the villages of Khulna. I hope everyone is familiar with Chuijhal. Until now. Allah Hafez.

Your description of Chuijhal in Khulna is both informative and enticing. The way you paint the picture of the beautiful Sundarbans and the vibrant prawns sets the stage for the main attraction, Chuijhal. The detailing of its unique taste, the addictive quality of the spices, and its popularity in the southwestern districts create a vivid image. It's fascinating to learn about the cultivation process and the economic impact on the region, turning Chui into a regional "brand."
