Tell your story#20/Aprendiendo/Learning

Desde hace varios años pertenezco a una ONG voluntaria llamada Club de Leones es a nivel internacional, en donde realicé trabajo voluntario en uno en la ciudad la cual habito Maracaibo, Venezuela. Tengo tiempo sin asistir a las actividades regulares por estar muy ocupada en la atención de mi hijo, me he alejado de las funciones rutinarias que solía realizar, sin embargo esta semana motivada al tema por el cual se me invitó decidí asistir a la actividad, fue completamente satisfactorio reanudar de alguna manera mis acciones de siempre.

For several years I have belonged to a voluntary NGO called the Lions Club at an international level, where I did volunteer work in one in the city where I live, Maracaibo, Venezuela. I have not attended regular activities for some time because I am very busy caring for my son. I have distanced myself from the routine functions that I used to perform. However, this week, motivated by the topic for which I was invited, I decided to attend the activity. It was completely satisfying to somehow resume my usual actions.

La actividad me sirvió para volver a estar en contacto conmigo misma, salir , despejarme, entablar conversaciones amenas con otros seres con similares intereses y con las cosas que me gusta hacer, por otra parte se trataba del tema del Plástico tratado desde los males que trae su excesivo desarrollo para la vida sobre la tierra, además de mostrarnos mediante un taller practico otros usos que podemos darle a los envases desechables y no solo el de dirigirlos a convertirse en basura y que terminen irremediablemente en algún lago, mar u océano. Las fotografías que mostraron durante el taller ciertamente causaban temor y preocupación en hacer algo que ayude a minimizar esta problemática.

The activity helped me get back in touch with myself, go out, clear my head, engage in pleasant conversations with other beings with similar interests and the things I like to do. On the other hand, it was about the issue of Plastic treated from the evils it brings. its excessive development for life on earth, in addition to showing us through a practical workshop other uses that we can give to disposable containers and not only directing them to become garbage and inevitably ending up in some lake, sea or ocean. The photographs they showed during the workshop certainly caused fear and concern about doing something to help minimize this problem.

Tuve además ocasión de saludar al resto de los miembros del club, a la directora con quien me une un afecto especial. Un aprendizaje excelente no solo por reciclar y rehusar el plástico, sino por la oportunidad de desarrollar la creatividad en las diversas utilizaciones que podemos darle a este material par que no se torne perjudicial. Aprendí hacer objetos como: porta velas, adornos para navidad decorativos, porta objetos, juguetes, recipientes para plantar además de obtener conocimientos del daño que el plástico en las aguas causa a las especies marinas e inclusive las aves de todo el mundo. Aprender algo nuevo desarrolla habilidades, motiva al ingenio, ayuda a mantener el nivel cognitivo en optimas condiciones por ello siento que mi semana tiene una historia interesante y sentida desde mi interior que contarles, lo hago con agrado además para dejarles el contenido informativo y las imágenes a quienes sean mis lectoras.

I also had the opportunity to greet the rest of the club members, the director with whom I have a special affection. An excellent learning experience not only for recycling and rejecting plastic, but also for the opportunity to develop creativity in the various uses that we can give to this material so that it does not become harmful. I learned to make objects such as: candle holders, decorative Christmas decorations, object holders, toys, containers for planting, as well as gaining knowledge of the damage that plastic in water causes to marine species and even birds around the world. Learning something new develops skills, motivates ingenuity, helps maintain the cognitive level in optimal conditions, which is why I feel that my week has an interesting and heartfelt story from within to tell you, I do it with pleasure and also to leave you the informative content and images to whoever my readers are.
