Saturdays are usually packed with activities, and this particular one was no exception. The day started early with a family devotion, where we gathered to pray, read the Bible, and share words of encouragement. It was a refreshing time that set the tone for the day ahead. Right after devotion, we prepared ourselves for the Fresh Anointing Service at church, it was 1st of February, 🥰 a new month already!

The service was spiritually uplifting, filled with prayers, worship, and an inspiring sermon that renewed my strength for the coming week. After the service, I headed straight to the market to buy foodstuffs for both immediate and weekly meal preparations. The market was not too crowded, as people weren't out from church yet, however I went through the stalls while selecting fresh vegetables, meat, and other ingredients which took quite some time.

Once I got home, I immediately had my breakfast before I started cooking, as I had planned to prepare both soup and stew. I choosed chicken for my stew and began by cutting it into desirable sizes. After seasoning and steaming it thoroughly, I added spices to enhance the flavor. While waiting for the chicken to cook, I prepared the ingredients for the stew, chopping onions, tomatoes, and peppers. Since my family prefers fried or roasted chicken, I fried the pieces before using them for the stew. Meanwhile, rice was already on the stove, cooking alongside the stew. When everything was finally ready, I served the meal, and we all sat down to enjoy it together. After lunch, I took some time to do a little laundry, making sure that clothes for the upcoming week were clean and ready.

In the late afternoon, around 4 p.m., I left for choir rehearsals in preparation for Sunday service. The practice session was intense but rewarding, as we worked on perfecting the songs for worship. When I returned home, I spent quality time with the kids, assisting them with their homework and ensuring they understood their schoolwork. Afterward, we had dinner, watched movies, and engaged in lighthearted conversations, sharing jokes and laughter. By 10pm., exhaustion set in, and it was time for bed. Though the day was hectic, it was also fulfilling, as I was able to balance worship, household chores, and family bonding.
