Tell Your Story#21 - What Happened Today.
Hello my friends. I’d be sharing a recent story which actually happened today. I woke up very early to fetch water because our pumping machine was bad. Since I woke and took my bath very early, I got to shop very early.
What really happened?
My neighbor who sells pepper kept on scolding her son. I didn’t know what happened so I didn’t go to meet her until she pushed her son out of the shop and started to pour water on the boy. Immediately, over ten people gathered around them begging her to leave the boy.
But I was surprised. The more she poured water on him, he stood there and didn’t even feel remorseful. I’ve always known him to be a stubborn child that the mum scolds all the time.
Suddenly, he started saying all sorts of negative words to his mum and even said that he won’t take care of her when he grows up. After we asked the woman what her son did, she said he didn’t want to go to school and I’m aware of this act. He’s fond of complaining that he doesn’t want to go to school. Just because of that, his mother changed his school to a big private school.
We also found out that the young boy of fourteen years old engages in dubious acts and charm. It’s really crazy and I was very surprised. The more the area people warned him, he kept on being proud and didn’t want to listen. Till now, he’s still being stubborn and requests to leave his mother’s house and said that he wants to move to his friends house.
How will a boy of fourteen years old say that he is old enough to take care of himself?
It was crazy. She’s a single mother striving to take care of her kids. She cried too hard today and her son didn’t even have any pity for her. It was so unfair.
What have I learned from it?
I felt bad seeing that young woman cry so hard today. I learned that our parents always strive hard to take care of us so we should always try to make them happy.
A lot of us may not be parents yet while some of us are already parents but for those who don’t know, our parents always strive to give us the best form of upbringing we can get.
I felt bad for the woman but also learned from what happened today.
I’d love to hear from my friends how their day went. Dear @joan-na and @okere-blessing I hope you take part in this contest as well.
Thank you for participating…..
The story is heart-wrenching and serves as a powerful reminder of the difficulties single mothers face when trying to raise their children, just like the article.
