Brave Browser introduces Sponsored Images!

in SteemLeo5 years ago

Good evening!

Once again Brave browser announced something really cool on their official blog site

Today we’d like to introduce “Sponsored Images”, the latest addition to Brave’s private advertising platform.

Everyone that already use the Brave Browser, mobile or Desktop version he will notice all those nice images on the background of the main page such as the following one.
Στιγμιότυπο οθόνης (28).png

Till now, all those images (16 in total) that randomly shown on the tab page was selected by the design team or community members and it was more all less for not being the main page completely blank. According to them, the positive feedback from the users about the interface and the questions if the images are sponsored, makes them came to the conclusion that might be use some of these popular and tasteful new tab page images to help support the entire Brave ecosystem!

Sponsored Images is part of that effort. It gives you another reason to enable Brave Rewards. The first time you see one of these images, you’ll be given an opportunity to switch on Brave Rewards and to start earning from sponsored images, just as people who use Brave Rewards today earn from notification-based ads. If you opt into Brave Rewards, you will receive a 70% revenue share for sponsored images; the other 30% goes to Brave.

In other words they expand the Sustainability of the platform by giving you the option to enable the Brave rewards and earn some BAT by viewing the sponsored images, cool isn't it?

I just downloaded the Brave browser. It is fast and works as good as firefox or chromium with ad-block. I have not earned any BAT yet and i am not exactly sure how this happens. Brave requires an Uphold account for withdrawing (future) earnings. Uphold requires Bank card details for ''verification'' :-(

Is there an other way, preferably more privacy respecting, to transfer funds out of the built in BAT wallet?

Well, depends on your country and if the ad rewards is available there. Now about the withdrawal method you are right uphold, but i haven't earn either any BAT yet so i can't be sure.

Well, i have 'enabled' the rewards in the browser so apparently they are available here in Norway. I was expecting brave ads but what i see is a complete block of ads. How does one 'earn' BAT?

MOOOONNN IMAGES WHEN ?!?!?!?!

Really cool. It's a pity I can't earn tokens from adds in my country. I like how Brave becomes better and better and shows it's not just a test browser but a day by day polished software. I hope BAT will one day get to top 10 cryptos. It really has a use case and a great working product.

Same here, i can't earn tokens in my country either but i hope that change soon.
I agree, brave browser offer great browsing experience fast and clean!

And it could be Better!
