RE: No Surprise: Eli Powell On Board With Steemit/Tron Partnership: They Switch Sides

Hoping for the best. Preparing for the worst.

I'm anticipating that Steem may soon devolve into who can pucker up their lips the best to kiss up to Justin where the Sun don't shine.

I've pretty much checked out emotionally and a lot of the peeps have as well. Just lost a major delegator to SFR who is powering down.

It's a bummer as I would have liked to continue the work of our fight against dishonesty, spam, plagiarism and the like.

But now it seems dishonesty is at the helm which does not bode well. Good luck everybody.

Be wise.

Why?
It never stops here. It will never stop. There will always be some bullshit on the horizon. A Justin, a Ned, a Fyrstikken, a Haejin..
Thats the spice of life on the Steem blockchain.
You swat the fly and swat the next one.
Need to recharge bateries? Watch some cat videos, upvote some art, listen to some music...

Steem is one giant libra constantly shifting from side to side.
Thats half the fun of it being here. You get to affect which side prevails.

I never once felt like giving up because of some dick acting dickishly. Theres always fun and satisfaction to be had. ;)

Watch some cat videos but don't buy @catsmakekittens tokens cause those are dead in the water... of course, the project could make a comeback.

That would just be a continuation of the trend; the entire steem ecosystem has been on a downward spiral for years.

People keep repeating this mantra that "steemit is not steem", but when you can't have steemit without steem, and steem has no value without the apps tied to it, they are so intricately connected that it's foolish to separate them unless the distinction is explicitly required.

Ever since I first dipped a toe, the system was rife with scams. Bots given voting power to buy and sell votes, shifting to an up/down vote system so that brigades could demonetize content, low quality posts and spam getting rewarded hundreds of dollars while all the main content creators (with exceptions) would make pennies.

The only platform positive move I've seen was the shift to 'communities' over the much abused 'tagging' system.
