Hello, everyone.

I welcome you all to my blog, I recalled struggling to find guidelines on how to perform certain things. Every time I need to do some markdown like how to *bold text or how to centralized a text on Steemit, I used Google.

Took my time to chat with the aba curator @focusnow on how to apply this markdown.

I know some newbie will be facing the same issue right now, so I decided to write about some markdown styles and how to go about it.

I hope you find this information useful base on my own knowledge.

How To Make Headlines?

When writing an article, headers and sub-headlines are particularly important features to consider because they display the structure of your content and guide the reader's eye.

This can be done by inserting symbol # at the start of the text or sentence. As the number of # symbol increases the size of the text or sentences decreases.

Example;

Header 1
Header 2
Header 3
Header 4
Header 5
This code was used to make the above markdown:

Header 1

Header 2

Header 3

Header 4

Header 5

How to Justify Text
Justify your text will make your articles unique, easy to read and not to forget it will make the content neat.

When you apply a text-justify command to your content, space is inserted between words so that both margins are aligned on every line.

How to Justify a text

Input the text and end it with

Example;

Before justifying my texts 👇

Steemit is a decentralized social media, which allow users to earn money for sharing quality and original contents.

After justifying my texts 👇

You can see the difference, Text-justify made my content neat and easy to read

How To Create a Table
Incase you want to make a difference or similarities between two things, making use of a table will be the best thing to do.

*Creating a Table

Header 1 | Header 2

------ | ------

Cell 1 | Cell 2

Cell 3 | Cell 4
Result 👇

Header 1 Header 2
Cell 1 Cell 2
Cell 3 Cell 4

How To Add Source or Link to an Image of Text
If you are using an image or text or quote you downloaded online, you need to add the source or link this is to avoid plaigiraism and gives credit to the real owner.

Adding Quotation
While writing your content, you might decide to borrow someone's else work, to avoid plaigiraism you need to properly quote the source where you copied from.

How to quote a text or source

You need to add the symbol > at the beginning of the text or the source

You can as well add the source link underneath the the text quote.
