Everyone was pointing at me and accused me of something I clearly didn't do, and it appeared as if everything was staged as such, the teacher took out the cane and punished me.

Let me explain the situation I was in right now: I had just graduated from primary one when my family relocated from Osusuaku to Owerri-aba, and I was enrolled at the Owerri-aba primary school (now primary and secondary) where I began primary two.

Mom took me and Big Bro to the headmistress' office, where we were registered. I was then shown the primary two classes, so I joined them to study; we were still using pencils.

After sitting down and the brief introduction requested by the teacher, I brought out my book to copy what was written on the board but after a few lines the pencil broke, I reached into my bag for my sharpener but it wasn’t there, looks like Mom didn’t remember to put it back after sharpening my pencil at home, I asked the guy beside me if he had one with him but got the negative reply, he suggested I ask the girl right in front of me, I touched her to ask for a sharpener but she looked at me as if I was asking for her hand in marriage, I apologized and waited for the guy beside me to finish so I could use his pencil.

We were waiting for recess when a foul odor suddenly filled the air; the teacher grew upset and began questioning who was to blame; one student from another seat row pointed at me (how could he be right?) Despite the fact that he wasn't sitting in the same row as me, the enraged teacher believed him; suddenly, everyone was pointing at me, and it all seemed staged; the teacher brought out the cane, and despite swearing by my forefathers, I was flogged; it was clear that these guys have a hatred for new students.

I came home with a fever that day, so Mom gave me medicine after I told her about my day, and she later brought me two new pencils and a sharpener.

I went to school the next day ready to repay them, and the heavens were against them that day as the teacher continued questioning why they couldn't do the simple math problem on the board (BODMAS).

Dad has always educated me at home, and I'd read anything I could get my hands on, including his architecture books. One time I was reading a book called "Set, logics, and linear algebra," the equations I saw there were beyond my comprehension.

So, when the instructor became enraged with the class, I told her I could solve it; she inquired if I was sure as they had studied the article the day before I started school, but I convinced her I could, so I took the chalk from her, approached the board, and solved the problem.

"How can someone who wasn't here when this was taught know how to solve it?" the teacher wondered. She yelled angrily at her students and told me to flog them (around 50 pupils in the class)

They were getting three strokes one after another, and I was soon sweating; flogging 50 kids in a short period of time wasn't easy, but they had to get it for unjustly accusing me the day before.

Hello @venon,

Trust you are good.I really enjoyed reading your post.Pupils sometimes have a dislike for new pupils:that will account to why you were accused of the foul smell that came up.The sweetest part of it is that you paid them back in their own coin. The spanking you gave the for solving the math problem serves them right.

I used that book Set,Logic and Linear Algebra during my 100 level. It is a good for learning and practicing Venn diagram and other Algebraic problems.
