Introduction

Talking about my family is actually one of the few things I love doing a lot. Though I come from a polygamous home of about 14, but how we’ve managed to maintain peace and decorum in the family is something I’m yet to comprehend.

My Family Members

Due to how large my family is, I have decided to talk about my direct siblings only because if I decide to talk about everyone in the family, this post is going to be too lengthy.
My family members consist of my both parents and my six older siblings.

My Dad

My dad’s name is Augustine Azunna Njoku, my dad is a business man who hustled and struggled his way out even before I was born.
My dad literally receives money while at home because he has already labored and set a solid foundation before now. He built several houses and shops where he receives rents from different people by just making calls.
Despite having several houses in town, my dad resides in the village and this is because he was made the head chief known as ochimba(meaning head of the community). He was given this title due to his benevolent and selfless service to the community.
The special qualities I love in my dad are just too numerous, ranging from how he comes through for everyone of us in the family to how he doesn’t allow us lack any single thing.

My Mom

My Mom’s name is Evelyn Njoku, I love her kind aura, her understanding spirit and how she helped my dad in raising us rightly.
My mom is a farmer, she deals on cassava, yam and other farm products. She sells this products in the market in order to raise money and assist my dad in running the family affairs.
My mom lives in the village alongside my dad.

First Son

Engineer Promise Njoku, is the first son of the family. He is a petrochemical engineer by profession. He is married with three beautiful daughters.
I love his calm nature and the quality advice he gives to us.
We call him the family lawyer because he’s literally the one that settles all the issues that arises in the family.
He reides in Rumuigbo Port Hacourt with his family.

Second Son

Njoku Gift is the second son of the family, we call him jack of all trades. He is an accountant, a teacher and a business man. He’s married with two kids.
I love how he motivates everyone in the family to worship God. He’s very devoted to the things of God and we refer to him as the family pastor. He lives in Port Hacourt.

Third son

Njoku Charles is the third son of the family, he is a surveyor and an estate manager. He resides in Port Hacourt and is currently single.
I love how active this my brother can be, he doesn’t tolerate nonsense from anybody and he’s always the one I call when I have any sort of issue with anybody.

First Daughter

Mrs Kate Otamiri is the first daughter of the family. She is a teacher and a business woman.
After my mom, she’s next in line. I love how well she performs the role of a mother by taking good care of us.
She lives in Port Hacourt alongside her husband.

Second Daughter

Ikechukwu Glory is the second daughter of the family. She recently gave birth to the beautiful baby in the picture. She is an entrepreneur who deals on baby wears.
I love how organized she is and her well she cooks. I got my great cooking skills from her. She lives in Port Hacourt with her family.

Third Daughter

Patience Prince, the lioness of the house. She’s actually my favorite because after her, it’s me. She’s the one I bill the most and she always comes through.
She’s the CEO of the dprince cyber cafe.
What I love most about her is her industrious life. She’s so hardworking and she live a life worthy of emulation.

How I was Helped By a family Member

I could remember while I was in Nysc orientation camp last year. After I made several expenses in camp, I didn’t have any money left with me and as at that time, I wasn’t issued a meal ticket. I had to put a call across to my sister, and immediately she sent me some money.

Funniest Person In the family

The funniest person in the family is my dad. Aside from making jokes out of serious situations. My dad can be really dramatic, he could wake up one morning and call everybody in the family to come home that he wants to die. When we get to the house, we’d realize that there’s nothing wrong with him and he would use that medium to demand for chicken or money from us.

Conclusion

I refer to my family as my best gift from God. Each time I look at them, I feel really blessed.
