INTRODUCTION

Hello Friends. It is with great joy and pleasure that I partake in this contest. I want to express my gratitude to @steemalive for the engagement. It is actually not easy to set up this contests and also reward the participants but it seems so easy for @steemalive.

Fathers are the head of the family and they go the extra mile to make sure that things work in the family. My Dad has been the head God made him and has done so much for my mom, step mothers, my siblings, step siblings and I. So it is with great Joy that I tell you about my Dad. Even though my Dad is not exactly like my Mum and its not been all rossy growing up under his arms, I am still proud that I came through him because whatever I have been through has made me a stronger and independent man.`

MEET MY DAD

My Dad goes by the name Zeblon Powei Hezekiah. He was born into the Family of Zeblon Ojuyannimi. My Dad is the second child of his Dad and the first born of his mom. Presently, my Dad is in his late 60s and he the oldest of the surviving children of his dad. My Dad hails from Ondo State and he is a native of Ajapa in Ese-Odo local government area of the state

DAD AND MOM

In making the choice of whom to marry, Dad didn't go far as he took two of his wives from my village and the last wive from a neighbouring village. My Dad is married to three wives with my mum occupying the second position.
By the special grace of God, he has been blessed with thirteen surviving children which includes seven boys and six girls. Out of his children, six have been able to make it gallantly out of higher institutions, four her married with kids. Dad has been blessed with six grandchildren.

DAD AND HIS FELLOW TEACHERS WHEN HE WAS STILL IN SERVICE

After working with the Ondo state Teaching service commission for 35 years as a Teacher, my dad attained the highest feet in the teaching profession and retired in 2013 as a principal in one of the well known government secondary schools in the riverine region of the state. He was not able to set up any standard business before retirement so he is just a pensioneer who has been able to manage himself and the family with the the salary he receives as a pension.

Dad had made so many sacrifices for I and my siblings and also the family at large. In my village, not too many fatherb take the responsibility of financing their wards through school but Dad has done it. He paid for all the school bills of I and my siblings right from primary school through secondary school to higher institution. He has done this for six of us with two still in higher institution.

When I was much younger and was still at the villa, a war broke about between my village and a neighbouring village. At that time I and my immediate siblings were staying with my grandmother. We had to fled the villa when the fighters from the neighbouring village overpowered my village fighters. My grandmother travelled far with us, my dad not knowing where we went. My mom was in school at that time and my Dad wanted to visit her but he thought of what to tell her owing to the fact that he has not seen us. He had to paddle on a canoe to a long distance alone passing through forests, asking people who may know our whereabout to trace our location until he got to where we were staying. We were happy to see him as he was also happy and he had good news to tell our mom as to where and how we were.

Dad has faced some health challenges. The one I remember very well is athsma. He has been able to manage it very well with the help of my mom. He is strong and healthier than people of his age. All glory to God in the highest.
Though my Dad married three wives, God has helped him to keep the family as one. The bond of love and unity in the family has been instrumental to our everyday progress.

The unique qualities of my dad that I admire so much is is smartness and neatness. When I grow up like him, I want to be a vibrant, smart and neat like him in old age.

CONCLUSION

This article is a summary of who my Dad his. He is a Mathemacian to the core. He is a hardworking man who doesn't give in for laziness and slothfulness. He is jovial and strict on his policies.
He is a good man but looking at him critically, I still want to be a different from him in some areas. Where he didn't do well, I want to improve myself and become a better version of him.

This is my entry!
