Good day Steemians, I'm so delighted to be here again in this community. Trust you are all doing great? Today I will be telling you my true-life story that will reveal the worse and best day of my life. Sit patiently and enjoy reading from my worse day to my best day.

The Worse day of my life

This is one of the days I would never forget in my life because it was the day I fell sick, a terrible and painful sickness that almost claimed my life. The worst day of my life started from being a normal day to one of the best and finally my worse nightmare, I know you would be confused by my statement but I will explain in detail what I meant by my statement.

Wikimedia common

It was October 24 2014 which came as a normal day to me but in the afternoon I received the greatest news that I had been offered admission after 5 years of staying at home, myself and my family were happy because this time my mother is ready to sponsor my education but as the night came I started feeling pain from my right waist in which I told my mom about it, none of us took it seriously because we thought it will go after taking paracetamol.

The following day which was Saturday, I went for a choir rehearsal in the afternoon from there to a birthday party, I just sat all through the party and on Sunday the pain got worse as it migrated to my two waists, I couldn't go to church and I went to a private hospital on Monday and complaint to the doctor. The doctor prescribe some drugs for me, I followed his prescription and the pain subside for 5 days before coming back with full force. I returned to the private hospital, they ran some tests on me which include an X-ray, a Genotype and so another test, when the doctor realized all my results were good, he referred me to a state hospital in my town.

I went to the state hospital and the doctor prescribed another medication for me, the college session has begun so I left for school after buying the prescribed drugs, did my registration and I started attending lectures. After 3 weeks of using the new drugs, it is no more effective for my pain and the pain has gotten worse and has reached my back.

At that time, I was staying with my three friends, anytime my mom called we would lie that I am fine because our admission was on probation and I had a weeding test to write that will determine my admission that same week, a day after the exam the pain got worse and it got to a point that I can not endure the pain anymore, my friends were afraid, they had no choice than to call my mom. she rushed down to my school, explained my situation to my H.O.D, and that very day I returned home.

I revisited the State hospital yet the pain wasn't anyway lesser, from the state hospital to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching hospital, I had to do the investigation again because they don't accept just any result, the result came and all were good but I wasn't in any way good in my system, I left the hospital with some drugs but after 3 days the pain has become severe that I couldn't even walk, sit nor stand on my own.

I was taken back to the hospital and I was admitted. That was how I was on a sick bed, not able to stand, sit, walk or shift from the bed, I was just in a position which is lying on my back for 4 months, I did 2014 Christmas, and new year in this position.

What Contributed to that worse day experience
I cannot say in particular that this is what contributed to my worse day because it was just like any normal day, I did not stress myself nor do I do any tedious or heavy work that could result to the experience. Only God knows what contributed to it.

What did I get wrong on that day
I did not get anything wrong on this day, everything went as it is supposed to on normal until the evening when I started experiencing this pain.

What lesson do I learn from my worst day Experience
  • I understand the importance of Good health and the saying health is wealth.

  • I know how long 24 hours can be when I was just in a place and pain did not permit me to sleep.

  • I know who my true friends are, some stood by me while some left because they thought I wouldn't make it alive.
  • Picture taken on my Induction day

The Best Day of my Life

The best day of my life was my Induction day, after being admitted into the college, followed by a sickness of 6 months, I still graduated with my mate. You must be wondering how, I will tell you after the probation test I did before I left school, I passed but I couldn't join my mate for the first semester after the first semester my school went on strike and I used that period to recuperated very well before joining them for the second semester.

The mercy of God speaks for me because I went to meet my HOD with the thought of deferring my admission to the following year, but he allowed me to join my mate with a decision that I will write my first-semester exam with the new 100 level students.

It wasn't easy for me, I have this fear that I would fail but my class representative did a lot for me, he tutored me perfectly and that second-semester result came well even beyond my imagination. I studied hard, retook my first Semester exams and I also came out with good grades, from my First Semester 200 level, I started taking the first position till I graduated with an overall CGPA in my class.

My Induction day was the best day of my life because looking back on the journey, I realized it has not been smooth, even after returning to school, my final year was challenging because financial instability, I remember going to church praying for financial help on my school fee, practical, project and national examination registration fee because I don't want to drop out of school.

After all, God is a merciful God, he makes a way where there is no way, my mom was given a temporary job for 5 months and that sorted my financial issues. I did my school exam, followed by a national exam in another state and I excelled, looking at myself on my Induction day, I couldn't help but be greatly joyous because I am more than a conqueror.

What Contributed to that best day experience
My success contributed to my best day experience, I excel in my academics and I was in good condition, and good health, also wearing the induction gown and being sworn in into the profession. The day was a day of Joy for me and my family.

What did I get right on that day
I got everything right, from passing the national examination to planning for the induction. Everything feels right, looking back at all the challenges I faced since I gained admission to seeing myself being inducted with my mates, my family was around and the induction was a success, I had a lot of fun with my friends after the induction. It all feels right, nothing fails me not even money nor my good health.

What lesson do I learn from my Best day Experience
  • God is a faithful and there is nothing impossible for him.

  • There is light at the end of every tunnel.

  • Giving up is never an option.

  • Conclusion

Both the worse and best days of my life were days that I can never forget. My family plays an important role in these two days, their prayers, care, support, and love are what kept me going. While writing my worse day, I couldn't help but to recollect all the tears and pain but now my worse days are over, and now is the time to enjoy the goodness of God. This is where I will be stopping, for now, thank you for reading

Wow, i could only smile at the good days, i think about the bad days and i wonder, what could be the reason that a test will be carried out on a patient that is in pain or sick and the test will come out fine with no traces of problems in the immune system, seriously am curious, my mom was sick for days and no single reason for her sickness was recorded, all test came out fine, well we can only be grateful for the good days and learn from the worst day, the two are inclined, i tell may friend how do you differentiate a bad day from a good day, none could answer me, you can only feel good after bad and you can only feel bad after good, the challenges of life are inevitable

Yes, challenges of life are inevitable even the word of God says there will be tribulation and we should be of good cheer because he has conquer the world and it's challenges. My illness taught me to value every time of my life, imagine not seeing a sky or my environment for 4 good months, the first time I stood up I end up fainted because it seem strange. In all I bless my maker for giving me victory. Thank you for sharing on my post.

Lying down in one position for good 4 months. Not really an easy task. But my surprise is that all the results where good. So, what could have been the cost of your back pain? It's only God knows. But, did the pains later go? How are you doing now?

Thank God for your H.O.D who understands the importance of life and gave you the grace to join your mate's after returning back from the hospital.

Thank you for reading my story to answers your questions.

    did the pains later go?

To God be the glory, he take away my pain, at first I was on drug for months after I was discharged because I still felt some pain, gradually it gotten more better that I only feel pain when I stress myself, and it will go after lying on my back for a while. Now I am fine, I mean very fine.

Yes, let just say the grace of God followed me to my H.O.D because he has told me on phone to come and deferred my admission only for me to got there and he changed his mind and allow me to join my mate. Thank you for reading.

Am happy to hear that you are totally fine now. Thank God for healing you. And making you to be sound again. Thank God for the kind H.O.D for giving you the privilege to graduate with your mate's.

Yeah, thanks to God and everyone that stood by me. Thank you too.

Oh no! I can totally relate. There was this time I also missed a paper because I was not feeling well but yet nothing was found on me. But in your case thank God there was a delay which in turn went in your favor to catch up in time. Thank God that you scaled through that and you were able to rewrite your first semester exams.

I am also happy that your mum later got a job and that is the dream of every child, seeing their parents succeeding is their greatest moments. I wish you goodluck.

You are right, even though everything feels wrong when I fell sick, but God later turn my situation around and His mercy, favour and grace speaks for me and my family. Thank you for reading.

In fact, I was very sorry to hear about your illness. In fact, when we are healthy, we do not realize how painful this illness is. But in fact, it is much better if you recover later. However, I am very happy that you have experienced these bad days. Thank you

You are right, he who is healthy can not realize the pain of sickness, that is why I don't delay my work in order to help patients from their pain.
