Introduction

Talking point was one of our projects designed for engagement. We enjoyed it after its original launch roughly 1 year ago. Its a live interactive discussion forum where participants share their opinion about a particular subject using the comment section of the Talking point post. We are glad to revive this project - although with a few changes. Have a look

Talking Point - the details

• How to do it: One of the changes this time around is that you our community member and participant will be the host. Being the host means that we selected the topic you presented. Then on the weekend of talking point, you make the talking point post. Then all community members will start sharing their opinion using the comment section.

Note: You have to refresh the Talking point post severally during the next 1 hour of the program so that you will see new comments and respond to them.

• Selecting the host: If you wish to be the first host of this new revived Talking point, drop the topic you want us to discuss as a comment on this post. We will check and select the topic that would bring more integration, fun and even knowledge to the participants.

• Selecting the topic: You as the host should select a topic of choice for the discussion. We will approve all topics except political and separatist related topics. We appreciate topics that people have different opinions on. We also appreciate topics relating to things happening around us and elsewhere - contemporary issues are welcome too.

Be creative in choosing a topic. Topics that teach are also highly valued. We can discuss everything - the last time you were scammed, firstborn or lastborn which do you choose, the businesses or jobs you have done, your worst experience in a banking hall, your first reaction after you heard about steem, public or private schools, which do you prefer, etc. These are just examples of the many topics we can discuss.

• Duties of the host: Very close to the Talking Point time, the host will publish the post for the show to start. The host Must respond to as many of the comments and replies, as possible. He should be ready to reply almost every comment.

• Rewards: The host will receive 10 Tron at the end. Participants that made at least 5 quality comments/engagements will receive 1 Tron each.

• Timing: It will start 8.30pm every Saturday. The discussion will last for just 40 minutes. - however, participants are free to continue discussing. We will check participants performance after 2 hours to make sure that everyone has participated well. But the official discussion time is 40 minutes. In the past, we had so much fun that we lost track of time.

• How to get the Talking point post link: 5 minutes to the time, the host will publish the post and send the link to community admin. The admin will then share the link in our our community group chats so you can click the link and start engaging.

• How to make it interactive: Share brief opinions as comments. do not make your comments to be too long. Make sizeable comments - many of them. Try to reply other peoples comments too. Be creative. Ask question, share experience, give advice, just try to keep the conversation going. Thats our aim.

Conclusion

Steemit is not all about writing to make money. Its social media too. This project is designed to encourage engagement and fun. We need to enjoy the social aspect of Steemit. So support Talking point and you wont regret.
