Introduction

We are delighted to unveil yet another life-changing project in our community. Join us friends as we announce the launching of SteemAlive Community Impact Network. Just like many of our other projects, we hope to use this project to touch lives in a special way. Ultimately, our major aim is to bring in new users to Steemit in such a way that they see some value added to their life even when they have not joined the platform.

What is SteemAlive Community Impact Network (SIM)

SteemALive Community Impact Network (SIM) is an Umbrella Project that will redefine how we promote Steemit in the local community. We have been going to Radio stations, printing fliers and branded Tshirts. While these are noble ways to create awareness about Steemit, we believe that more could be done. We can make people experience some value from Steemit even before they join. So through SIM, we will launch series of promotion or outreach projects designed to offer some value to target groups and have them benefit from Steemit even before they join. Through this, they will be more roundly convinced that Steemit deserves a serious thought.

So from the above brief explanation, we understand that SIM is a promotional activity that designed to touch lives and make them want to join Steemit because they are beneficiaries of the System we are proposing to them.

Our Mission in Designing SIM

SIM is not like promoting Steem in a business-as-usual manner. Our main target is to do so in a special way. Our focus are:

• Promoting Steemit to target Groups:
• Promoting Steemit by Adding value to target Groups

We have planned to achieve this mission in various ways. We will like to explain that more.

Promoting Steemit to target Groups

SIM will be focused on target groups. The project will be designed to appeal to selected groups in the local communities. We have identified some target groups whom we will try to make our Primary focus. They include the following:

• Age grade Associations
• Trade Unions
• School Staff
• Student Groups
• Church youth groups
• Parents Teachers Associations
• Soccer Clubs
• Fitness Groups
• etc.

There could be more groups that are not listed yet. But as we run the project, we will identify more groups and try to reach out to them through our programs in SIM

Promoting Steemit by Adding value to the target Groups

Lots of people tend to believe in something they can see - something they are beneficiaries of. This informed the second aim of SIM. We dont just go about singing the praises of Steemit, we want them to benefit from Steemit even when they are yet to do join. So through SIM, we will add value to the target group by doing or giving something they will benefit from in the name of Steemit. Through this way, they will be more convinced that Steemit is real.

There are a whole lot of things that can be done to add value. They include the following:

• Giving Steem branded gear: This is cool given that we are trying to represent a big, branded organization. So depending on the group we are meeting and their size, we can arrange some Steem-branded gifts to give. These little or big gifts will definitely strike a cord in the heart of the receiver and they would likely take whatever they hear serious.

• Offering a free service: Some of us promoters are people that render services in some trade or profession. We can run a project of offering some of our services free of charge or at a discount to those groups we are targeting to bring in. Presenting the discount as being covered by Steemit would add a lot of value to the recipients life. They will like to take further discussions about Steemit serious.

• Running a free course or training: How about some promoters with special skill in some professions? They can use that to sell Steemit to target groups by offering learning courses for free or at a discount. Or by selling the skill at a discount or free too. Also presenting the course or training as paid for by Steemit would make a lasting impression about Steemit on the mind of the recipient.

So in essence, we want to offer something of value to the target groups whom we want to inform about Steemit. If we can brand such offers properly in Steemit colours, that would make the recipient take what they will hear about Steemit very serious.

How to Join SIM

We called this project a Network because we will have teams of promoters from the various cities working together at the same time on SIM projects. These teams of 2 or more members will identify groups to be targeted for promotion. They will brainstorm on the form or nature of the value they will include as part of the promotion package and they will pull resources together to finance it. All these would be coordinated with the assistance of the City Coordinator.

They will make a proposal post. Including the following details:

• The target Group
• The kind of value they wish to give as part of the promotion
• How much they can finance it

The title of the Post will be: Our SIM Project: Planning a presentation to Owerri School Old Boys Association The first tag should be a combination of sim and the city name. For example, teams from Aba would use simaba as their first tag

Note: The planning should be done in such a way that the group can finance more than 50% of the project cost.
The community will assist with the project reasonably at its discreetion. However, approved project posts would be given the exposure and awareness they deserve, including a votes from community resources.

A call to Action

We will encourage all our City Coordinators to key in to this project and create sufficient awareness for it. We also ask members to support the project and participate.

If you are a member of any group of association, its easier to have access to run this type of promotion to your group through you. So please try support SIM in whatever capacity you find yourself.

Note: We will make a SIM T-shirt for this project so as to enable us represent the Steem brand well. We thank you in advance for giving doing your best to promote Steemit by making an impact in other people's lives.

Conclusion

Just like our other projects, we are optimistic that SIM would produce the kind of results we have in mind. It is an experimental project which we will finetune as we implement it and analyze the results.
