We are pleased to announce a brand new project today called Sell More with Steem (SMS)!! As a community that is full time into Steem promotion, we always think about projects that will attract individuals and businesses to Steem. We are really confident that Sell More with Steem (SMS), will be one such project to attract local businesses to Steem as we create value to enhance their business and help them find more customers.

Sell More with Steem - What is it?

As the name suggests, Sell More with Steem is a project that will expose local business to opportunities to promote their products or services and find new customers online. We plan to enlist businesses to an online business directory and also create a local P2P market on Telegram where local businesses can easily connect with customers and sell more. Being a projeect powered by the Steem blockchain, SMS will bring more new users to Steem, since they will utilize the crowd we have created across communities to market and promote their business.

SMS will be an avenue to onboard local businesses

Local business owners want to sell more and reach out to many customers. SMS will give them the opportunity to do this. When we do business reviews and write about a local business, we are creating awareness for them. Through SMS, we will assure business owners that by joining Steemit and creating a profile, they will have access to a large community of potential customers.

So through SMS, local businesses would like to embrace Steem and use it as an avenue to publish their goods and services, thereby reaching out to new customers.

SMS will create a local P2P business group

Moving forward, we would like to actually connect businesses to customers. We would like to create a local P2P market. In this market, verified businesses would have the opportunity to connect to buyers in real time and sell their goods. We would expect Local business owners to create and maintain an active profile on Steemit.

In this way, our admins will be able to provide escrow services for these business so that they can sell to customers in a secure environment.

Additionally, since some of our community members love doing business review posts, SMS will be an opportunity to for these promoters to officially enter any business environment, provide a valuable service for local businesses, and be allowed to capture products images for business reviews.

We have launched already today - 3/6/2022

SMS is a project we have been planning and working on underground. However, we kicked off this project officially today in our steemit center in Aba. We did a training of selected representatives that will in turn train others. We did some brain-storming sections and analyzed potential challenges to this project. We have set a target to have 5000 persons in the marketplace within the next 60 days. Our team of promoters and community members will help us share the link of the Telegram group so as to enable us meet our goals. We hope to create real value which will convince local businesses to adopt the Steem blockchain.

Verifying local businesses

Each of our business review writers that will join this project will help us verify the local businesses they wish to add to the group. We will tolerate zero scam. Questionable dealers would not be allowed to be part of this project. Admins in the group will quickly mute any advertiser that has not been verified.

Additionally, we will start an online business directory which would be published on our community page. A weekly update post would also be made to keep track of new businesses that are joining us. We hope to start buying and selling on the page once the page has up to 500 members.

Our verified community members, that are business owners would be allowed to promote their goods too, provided they are active in our community.

Conclusion

We hope the business review writers on our platform can now offer something really valubale to local businesses and convince them to join Steemit. When they do, they will be allowed the opportunity to access a large P2P marketplace with thousands of potential customers. Our review writers will also have the opportunity to capture images officially because they now have a valuable service they are offering.

We hope to see more small businesses and business owners embrace Steem. We hope that once a large marketplace is built, it will be easy to convince businesses to accept Steem as a means of payment, when they find customers that are willing to pay in Steem.
