INTRODUCTION

Hello @steemalive and all my fellow steemians, i greet all of you. I hope you're all doing fine healthwise and otherwise.

Meanwhile, i am grateful to you guys for visiting my blog, and i am poised as well to update you friends with how i spent my day on saturday being the 8th of January, 2022, and i am sure you'll enjoy my diary.

After i woke up in the morning at about 6:30am, I quickly freshened up and thereafter had my breakfast in preparation to embark on a scheduled or planned visit to the beach with some of my family members and friends for relaxation, fun and sightseeing.

The name of the beach that we were about to visit is Atican beach at Lekki, Lagos. This beach in question is very far away from our take-off point, which is Ago Palaceway in Okota.

When we were about leaving the house for the beach, i took a snapshot in front of our compound with one of my little niece, as shown in the picture below.

When we were done with that, we joined the rest of the family on board our private car heading to the beach in a grand style.

When we finally got to the beach, we pulled up at the gate as directed by the security men manning the beach gate in order to purchase our tickets before entry.

Thereafter, we were allowed entry into the beach compound and guards posted at the car park directed us to where we would park. When we parked and alighted from the car, i had us take some photographs before we would finally walk inside the beach proper. Check out the snapshot below.

Finally, we entered inside the beach and took our preferred position under a big canopy, we took our seats and began to refresh ourselves with assorted delicacies, drinks(both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages) that we carried along with us. In fact, we had enough to eat and drink thereby adding to the fun and beauty of the outing.

While this fun continued, i decided to go enjoy myself from a horse ride which gave me much pleasure, and can you guess how much a single ride or trip costs? It costs 1000 naira to cover just a short distance.

However, the pleasant and smooth experience that i enjoyed from that ride was worth it, and also memorable.

Moreover, to be able to enjoy extra fun, i went to the sea shore to feel the cold, salty water as the sea was surging and roaring during that time of the day, and a large crowd of visitors to the beach were seen all around the beach environment, including both adults and children and some were by the sea shore, while others were in the water at some distance very far away from the shore swimming. Some others were seen enjoying themselves with foods and drinks at different corners and under different canopies.

The image below shows when i was by the sea shore enjoying the sight of one of God's wonders of creation, the sea and also enjoying and feeling the sea breeze.

When i was through with enjoying the sea breeze, i suddenly caught sight of a baboon that was dressed and being led around by it's owner to entertain guests
who came to the beach, and of course the owner was doing this for commercial or money-making purposes. Interestingly, what the owner and the baboon itself were doing caught my attention and you may ask, what was that?

Actually, it was the way the baboon was obeying and responding to the dictates of it's owner despite being an animal, especially when it's master brought it before visitors at the beach who were seated relaxing and enjoying themselves. It was indeed very entertaining and funny.

For example, if the owner ordered it to sit, stand, lie down or do anything at all, the baboon would do just that thereby thrilling and amusing it's spectators.
This was exactly what was happening in the picture below between the baboon and it's owner.

Eventually, after enjoying ourselves enough and having had a good time together at this beach, we got exhausted and at this point, we didn't have any other choice than to start thinking toward heading back home, and that was how we rounded off for the day.

CONCLUSION

There's this popular saying that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, that's true. We need to make time for relaxation and fun in order to stay healthy and happy.
