Good Day Great Steemians, Welcome to this amazing post where I’ll be sharing my knowledge about Exercise. I hope you’ll be reminded of some old things you’ve known before and also learn new things through this post.
Exercise simply refers to the general movement of the body.
It is any activity you engage in that involves all the active parts of the human body to be in motion.
This means that some activities we overlook such as dancing, walking etc are also included as exercise.
The main goal of exercise is to keep the body fit, make the muscles active and most importantly burn calories.
Sad to say, many people today feel too weak to engage in exercise. This post is meant to awaken our zeal and love for exercise.
TYPES OF EXERCISE
Strength Exercise
This involves activities that are meant to increase strength and endurance. This may include weight lifting, pushups, running etc.
Doing exercises that strengthen and build the muscles strength can help reduce the risk of chronic disease, improve mobility and protect brain health.
Aerobic Exercises
These are exercises like swimming, cycling and dancing which you can do a few minutes at a time.
During this type of exercise, your body uses the aerobic energy system for power and since the metabolic system uses oxygen to help create energy, your breathing rate increases. These exercises keep the respiratory system active.
Flexibility and Mobility exercise
This is a form of exercise that makes the body become mobile and flexible.
These exercises allow you to stretch the muscles and move the joints and tissues to their fullest range or limit of motion.
These forms of exercises are mostly important because they make the bones strong even during old age.
Coordination and Agility Exercises.
These forms of exercises make the body react and move quickly. Athletes like Boxers, goalkeepers mostly need this kind of exercise to build their reflex action.
Non-athletes need it too because we may need to dodge an unexpected object on our way or when engaging in other activities. These exercises can also build strength.
BENEFITS OF EXERCISE
Exercise Promotes and Enhances Sleep
Regular exercise stretches the body and at the same time gets the body weak at times. This leads the body to desire for enough rest and sleep. However, You should not exercise immediately if you want to sleep because it may make the body too agile. Instead, Exercise few hours before sleep and see yourself sleeping like a baby with no worries.
Exercise Increases Energy
Regular exercise boosts your muscles strength and enhances your endurance ability because it delivers oxygenated blood and glycogen to every part of the body.
This helps to improve the efficiency of the cardiovascular system. When the organs in this system are awakened, you have more energy to tackle other activities that lay ahead.
Exercise Boosts Mood and Self Esteem
Enough exercise even in cases of anxiety can awaken various brain chemicals that brightens your mood and makes you happy, less anxious or even more relaxed despite whatever circumstance you're in.
When you exercise regularly, you change your appearance to look better. In this way, you develop confidence in your physical look and in turn improve your self esteem.
Exercise Keeps You Fit and reduces your chances of aging
A young person who lacks exercise will not utilize his youthful vigor to the full. Enough exercise keeps you fit and ever ready to do physical and strength needed work.
Many people today look or get old quickly all due to lack of exercise. A healthy exercise routine makes the bones in the body straight and this in turn helps you during old age.
MY PERSONAL EXERCISE ROUTINE
As A young person, Physical fitness and exercise is one thing I don’t joke with. I try to exercise regularly.
Every Morning, I do some aerobic and strength exercises for 10 - 15 minutes in order to keep fit and bring up the needed energy for my daily work.
I also love goalkeeping therefore, on weekly intervals, I engage in some coordination and agility exercises to develop my reflex action.
I will advice anyone who is able, especially young ones, to always make out time either in the morning or evening to exercise daily, as it makes the body look healthy, good and fit which boosts self confidence in physical appearance. Also because it keeps us fit for old age but far from its health issues.
CONCLUSION
I know that each one of us has different schedules. However, Our busy life should not reduce the attention we pay to our physical fitness. Remember, Health is Wealth.

Exercise is very good for the body but the situation in Nigeria alone is enough exercise 😆.
Don't mind me. It's good to create time to exercise which helps in keeping our system fit.
