INTRODUCTION.


Hi dear reader, welcome to my blog, thanks for joining me as I continue to bring you updates on the ABA STARTUP WEEKEND.

THE STARTUP WEEKEND FINAL PRESENTATION WAS ON WRITING AND PRESENTATION OF A GOOD PITCH DECK TO EARN YOU THE REPUTATION YOU QUALIFY FOR.

Mrs Ezinne a business owner and and digital entrepreneur taught us how to write and make a wonderful presentation, as long as it concerns pitch deck Mrs Ezinne is a professional.

My boss Mr Daniel Chinagozie did an excellent introduction of this wonderful personality. And he introduced her as his new business partner along side her corfounder it was an exciting moment.


WHAT IS A PITCH DECK?


A pitch deck is simply the blue print of a business, it is the map that sicks to explain what the XYZ of a business is.

The Pitch deck refers to a document that has all the business content of of an organization. In her words a pitch deck is made op of great content that explains a business within 5 mintutes.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE FOUND ON A PITCH DECK


  • BUSINESS DESCRIPTION :

This is simply saying I am , "ABC and I am working on a business that does this and that" remember I am just giving an example, you could learn from this presentation i am making her.

  • WHAT THE PROBLEM YOU ARE SOLVING?

In the business world it is expected you should be solving a problem. Most importantly learn to introduce your business with a story most investors look out to hear the story that made you start a business.

When the problem is found then you can say you have a business. Making money is all about solving problems else it will not work. Today the big business names we hear came about because they have been solving problems.

Rich people are in the business of solving problems this is why they have the money. Nobody will pay you for setting around and not solving a problem. It takes problem solving to get an idea out there and start making money.

IF YOU SOLVING A PROBLEM OUT THERE AND YOU ARE NOT MAKING MONEY THEN YOU OUGHT TO REVIEW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

  • SOLUTION.

Having found a problem you want to solve, you are expected to write the solution you are profering to that problem. So in a pitching deck you must try to give a detail solution on the problem you mention and explain how you want to solve the problem.

Also remember to mention the things you need to solve the problem, for instance you can't say you want to solve the problem of bad network or poor network and be needing a biology teacher. Instead of looking for network engineers, website developer , and a soft ware engineer.

After pitching your solution very clean the next slide should talk about the MARKET SPACE.

  • MARKET SIZE

On this slide your group or you team should be able to explain to the Judges investors the opportunity in the market, the investors at this point are interested in hearing what you would want to offer as gains you will Make by the time you kick start.

Remember without a real live validation and proves no one will want to invest in your idea. Proper validation involves you going to the site to find out for yourself if your business idea actually has a market in the society.

  • BUSINESS MODEL

Your business model will tell us about your competitors and why you choose to do same business, more so investors will always want to hear you tell them what makes you feel you can do better than your competitors, they also are interested in hearing you say what you are doing differently to stand out of the many competitors.

Your business model should talk about your early adopters early birds, who are the people you have as customers already, how and what are you doing to get more clients customers to your business.

NOTE : While making your presentation you most be bold and firm and not speak using a bed room voice but a load voice, you should be passionate as you make your presentation this will catch the attention of every judge investor listening to you.
