Preamble

Roadshow is an outreach activity carried out in order to create awareness to the general public both onlookers and passers-by on what Steemit. Com is all about. This awareness and publicity is carried out in different forms using different means and all sort of attention- capturing items such as branded banners, T-shirts, P-caps fliers, placards,and many more.

Day, Venue And Kick Off Time

We scheduled our Road show for 10th September 2021 and the venue we chose to kick off from is NaCabs Polytechnic off Wamba bypass Akwanga town, Nasarawa state Nigeria.
Initially it started with @charis20 reporting at the venue earlier, followed by @patience, joined by myself @pato84 and then @treasure203 joined subsequently.

As it is customary,the first thing we did was to find a very strategic point at the entrance gate of the school premises to hang our steemalive branded banner harbouring the captivating faces of two great Steemians and also bearing some enticing inscriptions. Such Write, post ,earn and get paid in Dollars

At first @patience90 struggled with hanging the banner and all her effort proved abortive until @pato breezed in and came to her rescue and took over the seemingly Herculean task and Immediately hanged the banner successful

A very Fruitful/Productive Roadshow

While l was hanging the banner and also taking some selfies, there came two students students passing by so @charis20 and @patience beckoned on them and they came closer. When they came they preached the Gospel of Steemit to them, the sermon was so convincing and captivating that they immediately surrendered their ego and requested to be registered as soon as possible. Instantly @chari20 and @patience90 registered them respectively though they encountered some hitches in the registration process owing to Fluctuating and unstable network.

While this was ongoing, @tresure203 came around with her full bag of popcorn for sale from which @charis ordered that she should give some wraps to us including those two new prospects.

Afterwards,we marched down to the Proprietors office whom we were intimated by his receptionist was busy with some visitors in his office.Afterwards we marched down to see the Proprietors office, when we get there, the receptionist/typist said he is with some guests inside so she kept us seated at the waiting quarters,we waited there for some couple of minutes running into an hour. While sitting there waiting @charis20 quenched our thirst and watered our dried throat with some soft drinks and popcorn.When the Guest left we were ushered into his office. He offered us seat, we introduced ourselves as Steemians on a steemalive Roadshow and public aware drive. He also Introduced himself as Mr. Maurice Abuluya. Being a man of a jovialty we cracked jokes for a very long time . When we started telling him what Steemit.Com is all about at first he said he is antipathetic, antagonistic and negative about anything online or networking business or deal. He shared his ordeal with us by telling us that his reason is not far from the fact that he has been incessantly victimized and defrauded by such stuff. As a matter of fact he decried vehemently the activities of anything online and objurgated the rate at which scammers and fraudsters are extorting from people their hard earned resources. But after a very long chat which lasted for almost two hours coupled with detailed and indepth explanation by our able amiable and pragmatic State coordinator @charis20 and her spokesperson @patience90, to my greatest chagrin, the proprietor gave in and became very enthusiastic to know more About Steemit and promised to join sooner than later. We had some snapshot with him in his office. When we left there we went to where we hanged our banner and took some snapshot and headed for home.

Conclusion

Our Roadshow recorded a huge success and yielded fruits. And we hope to be doing such often and on. I was highly elated by the experience garnered in the course of the roadshow .
