Introduction
Warmhearted greatings to my fellow Steemians in @steemalive. I am super elated to bring to you once more the events that transpired during my second day in our Survival Camp at Mama town In Farin Ruwa Development Area Of Wamba Local Government in Nasarawa, North Central Nigeria. You may read about the camp, my Preparations, my arrival and the activities on the day one here.
It was the second day and the camp had been declared open on the previous day being the day of arrival. It was my first experience ever about what Survival Camp is all about. I felt a little fearful and nervous as to whether I will be able to Survive and cope withh the whether condition, hunger and of course stress of hiking and other training exercise and outdoor activities. The line up of activities and programmes that will take place the next was usually announced the previous day to keep every one abreast with the camp's organogramme. The layout out of the camp site has been explain. All the trails has also be shown to and the various signs interpreted.
Ideally the rule of Survival Camp is
Sleep in the Day and stay Awake in the Night.
The reason for this rule is deduced from the fact that Survival Camp presupposes a situation whereby you left your home unprepared and unannounced for danger and you are on the run for your life. For instance, villages that are besieged by Herdsmen or Biko Haram or other forms of insurgency. It also tries to picture the wilderness experience of the Israelites during their Exodus from Egypt to Canaan. The ups and downs of their sojourn and how they were sustained by divine Providence.
It also point us to a futuristic time when the Remnant of the Saints(church) who refuse to worship the Beast, or his image or receive his Mark on their Forehead or Hand will suffer persecution and tribulation by the Antichrist, so at this time people will leave their comfort zone in the cities to run for their lives and the bush and rural villages will be their hiding places. So once in a while it becomes expedient that the Christian especially the youth acquaint themselves with life in the bush where you have no access to sublime and modern enjoyment. The funniest thing was that I was cut off from the internet and social media, because there was no network in that area, I was unable able access Internet, nor log in on steemit and couldn't communicate with my family and friends, for this 4 days period. What an unusual experience! Lest I forget, in Survival Camp we use the Greenwich Mean Time(GMT) to count time and is counted from midnight.
Activities in The Morning Hours
Every camper slept around the Mighty Indian Camp Fire that was built on the arrival in the middle of the bush. The language of communication when on a Survival Camp is the Whistle sound. Each respective sound of the whistle is a signal for something.
When it 4.00GmT I heard the blast of the whistle calling every one to awake for morning devotion. After the devotion, there was a morning drilling on parade and Guidon presentation and salute.
Activities in The Afternoon Hours
After the the parade drilling , the whistle was blown calling every to go for manna hunt in the bush. Earlier on, at arrival the entire campers have been grouped into twelve tribes naming each group after the twelve tribes of Israel and I happened to belong to the Tribe Of Judah. Every tribe chose its own leader called captain who receives instructions and directives from the Youth Director and his team and then pass it down to the members of his tribe. At night time the Director and his team would go and hide survival camp food items such as yam, plantain, coconut, miaze, , water, satchet water and some fruits in the bush which the various tribe tribes would go to hunt as manna in the day time at the order of the camp director.

Activities Done In The Evening Hours
After eating the manna, the instructions came that it is time for for tent making and every tribe would make its own tent to accommodate it's members. We went into the bush to cut woods and sticks and palm fronds that will be use used the tent making. We got some fresh palm kernels which we used to drink garri in the evening while making our tent.
