Introduction

My fellow steemians, it will interest you to know that as one grows up, responsibilities also increases not necessarily taking care of others' needs, but also catering for oneself.
Subsequently, we do all the legit jobs we find to make ends meet, we hustle for a living as life itself is a hustle
In that regard, there are several jobs/businesses I did/doing in other to live a comfortable life.
I did some jobs, learned a skill and did businesses to sustain myself and I'm still doing some till today which include:

• Hair dressing
• Produce liquid soap
• Teaching job
• Sale fabrics, bags, bedsheets and clothes
• Content creator

Hair Dressing

I naturally know how to braid hair along with my sisters so my father bought a set of female salon equipments for us to earn us some money to ourselves so I practiced with my elder sister in our house where we wash ladies hair and braid for money.
I wasn't so much a fan of hair making so I decided to do something else.
So I stopped hair dressing altogether and for years, I've not braided anyone's hair. Just waiting to have a baby girl so I can braid her hair.

Liquid Soap Production

I learned making liquid soap on a casual day back in the days and I eventually turned it into money making business because as of 2011, so many people didn't have the idea here in my community so I ceased the opportunity.
I bought chemicals from the market and mixed everything by myself, package in 75cl of bottle water for 100NGN each.
My sister and I will take it to the market and a friend of mine supplies 5litres to some restaurants at the cost of 3,000NGN each.
Seriously, it was lucrative and there was a lot of profit in the business but when I went to service, I did a lot of production and left for my brother's wife to continue but she crumbled my business and never gave me my capital, profit, refund or any sort of explanation till date and that was how I stopped but I still produce for domestic use only.

Tailoring

After graduation while awaiting my call-up letter for NYSC, I decided to learn tailoring which was my passion.
I can boldly say I am still practicing tailoring and I'm taking my skills to a greater level of being a renowned designer in the nearest future.
Yes, there are profit and loss in tailoring but I won't give up hence people are still wearing clothes.

Teaching Job

After my service year, I applied for a teaching job in my village. I submitted my application to 2 different schools and went to work in the most expensive one because I thought it will be more challenging.
And the name of the school is De-Royal Grace Ambassadors Academy, Gudi
At first, the work was great though tedious but I didn't bother because it keeps my brain warm and met my little need at the end of the month though the payment wasn't much but I didn't complain because I had less responsibilities.
But I got pissed off and resigned when there was no payment of salary yet the school was increasing in population and there were no school fees debtors.
After a few months, I got employment with the Federal Government Npower Scheme and was posted to Pilot Science Primary School Andaha North as a class teacher.
I enjoyed teaching the pupils and the parents were so glad having me around but I had to stopped going to school when the programme ended though I still maintain my relationship with my colleagues, parents, pupils and host community.
I am still a role model because I lived good life as a teacher.

All Round Business Woman

Right from when I was in school, I loved business though I wasn't too bold to venture into it but sometimes I buy wares such as attachments and vegetables from school to sell at home during holidays because they were cheaper in Jos.
Even during NYSC, I sold jewelries to fellow corpers and even brings home during break to sell.
Even while teaching, I still sell crayfish, smocked fish, stock fish, bedsheets, ankara fabrics, shoes, bags and ready made clothes.
In fact I buy and sell anything legal as long as there is profit at the end of the day.

Content Creator

I joined steemit in May 2021 and I can boldly say I've published a lot of content through personal writings and participation in contest.

In a nutshell, I love being productive and hate depending on someone for my needs unless it's beyond my capacity.
I love multiple sources of income because in the situation of our dear country, you can't depend on only one source of income.

Conclusion

If you are a type that love luxury, I can tell you that I love luxury more than you but I love enjoying money made by myself because it gives some kind of happiness and satisfaction.
Though I believe there are no lazybones on steemit and I encourage you all to do more even though things are hard.
