Write a detailed post about a market, shop or any other local business in your city.

Name and Location of the Market

The name of the business I will be reviewing is Shoprite, it is one of the leading food retailers here in my state, Kwara state, and I like to buy a lot of things pertaining to food at the shop due to several reasons which will be made known in the recommendation section. The market is located in the capital or let me say the center of the state and it is situated amidst other business shops like ColdStone market, some clothing materials markets, restaurants, and some other needs of man stores. This is why I prefer to use the place because I can easily get everything I need without moving from one location to another but inside the same compound.

In Nigeria, Shoprite was first opened in Lagos, in the year 2005 and ever since then, it has really grown to be a lot of people's first choice with over 25 stores across the country. Initially, the company was headquartered in South Africa and this seems out of touch for Nigerians. In 2021, the company branch in Nigeria was acquired by Ketron, which is a Nigerian investment firm.

Shoprite is currently in 8 states in Nigeria and that is one of the reasons for my patronizing them, each branch tends to do things the same way and it is very easy to access the stores. The company gave a lot back to the environment by providing a lot of employment for Nigerians. The store employs more than 2000 people of which more than 98% are Nigerians.

The store also supports Nigerian suppliers, small businesses, and farmers, thereby securing a wide variety of local brands which can be gotten from the store and this is one more reason why I like using them. Whatever we have, we need to give back to our communities in one way or the other.

Shoprite goods are very cost-effective and they are also of high quality. The store has a website where one can get to know more about the store. The link to the online store is this: Shoprite

All year-round, you can get fresh fruits from the store, freshly baked bread, and even Wines from up to 10 top wines producing countries are available.

Here in Ilorin as can be seen in the two map images above, the store is located along with Fate road, which I believe got popular because of this store and other big stores that are located there. The road is a Two-Way road and this is essential to curb any traffic congestion as a lot of people make use of the road.

There are numerous products being sold, from food products to household goods to small appliances in the store, but I am going to write on just some of them.

Also, take note that I will be reviewing each of these products in my local currency which is Naira (#) as well as in Steem and as of the time making this post, 105 Steem is equivalent to 1 Naira

I had recently gotten some foodstuff from the store but today I found out my custard and milk are almost finished and so I need to get another.

Just as I was saying in the first section, I shop at the store due to some reasons and I will be recommending the store due to those reasons.

📌 Where the store is situated:
The store is situated in the center of the state which is a very known area and which one can easily access. Coupled with the store are some other stores like ColdStone restaurant, Cinema, clothing or wears material stores which I see as an advantage for anyone that might want to buy other things with moving to different locations. Due to the fact that many stores are present in the location, the security is tight and the store is a safe place to shop.

📌 How Quality their goods are:
I have used Shoprite in two different states and I can say it anywhere that their goods are of high quality. I have never at any time seen fake products never have I heard anyone that has. So for anyone that prioritizes quality goods, I will recommend Shoprite.

📌 How Safe the store is:
I recently come across news of a man who parked his car outside a store and went inside to get some goods, while he was at it, his car was broken into and some money was carted away. Thanks to Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), the perpetrators were traced and caught. This is just to tell you the need to shop in a place even where you won't be worried about your car or whatever you can not take inside the store. Shoprite has its customer in mind by making available all these, there are security personnel at every corner and there is CCTV.

📌 How Cost-effective their goods are:
The store is known to sell its goods at a lower price. I had actually checked this out back then, with the quality of goods they sell, their goods are worth every penny. I did compare their goods price with some other stores that sell quality goods too and I found out that Shoprite own is cheaper and this one of the reasons why a lot of people patronizes them and why I am also recommending it for us.

📌 How friendly, and efficient their Customer service is:
This is one thing that many stores lack, imagine going to a store where the customer service does not even care or are concerned, it will be bad right? This is not the case with Shoprite. Here in the Shoprite in Ilorin, the customer service attendants are always ready to show or direct you to whatever products you might be looking for, Don't forget I said there are numerous products available at the store and so it might not be easy locating what you want yourself and this is where those attendants come in.

📌 How fast and well-equipped their payment attendants are
Moreover, their payment attendant is well equipped with everything they might need to attend to customers, such changes, POS, calculator, system, etc. all these are what make their attending to customers fast. Despite the fact that a lot of people are patronizing them, you cannot wait for more than 10 minutes at most before you get attended to as they have enough payment attendants and goods equipment,
