Introduction

Hello everyone in the @steemalive community. If you remember the last time I wrote on our failed attempt to clean the church tent. Well today we did it and it was an absolute success.

One reason we weren't able to do the cleaning last week Saturday was because of lack of equipments and adequate manpower. Well today we made sure every ingredient needed for the thorough clean up was available.

Arrival And Preliminary

We were already in church by 7:00am but we didn't start till 9:00am. By this time quite a reasonable number of people had arrived. While I write I'll let pictures talk too

Ingredients we used in washing

• Water- very important
• Hypo bleach (a sizeable amount)
• Mops to wash the top of the tent
• Sponge to scrubb the insides of the tent
• Buckets for getting water
• Bailers or bowls for scooping water
• Ladders - For climbing to the top
• Last but not least,the corporate desire to wash the tent.

We began by first dividing people into groups of 4. The tent we were to wash had 24 partments so 4 people would wash each partments.
As this was going on the water was been mixed with hypo cleaning bleach and detergent,while ladders we're being set up for those who would wash the top to climb

Immediately the water was mixed and shared into buckets,the washing began.
I was given the task to oversee 4 groups of 4 and it was a but difficult at first but after a while we all got on well
As you'll see below people doing their level best to make the tent clean.

While this strenuous work was going on, there were people who wanted to sneak out of church for whatever reasons,so the gate was locked and protocols were placed there with a strict no going out order. It was hilarious to watch people try to go out and be turned back if the excuse wasn't solid.

By 10:30am, the people washing the insides of the tent were through and about moving to the outside. One thing was an impediment and that was the fact that the 'roof' of the tent was still being washed. Whatever we do outside will be messed up when the water from the roof is pouring. But come to think of it,see guys have mind oh, because if you'd asked me to climb up there,I wouldn't but they climbed and we're even gisting but I noticed they were being very careful to stand on the iron rods with which the tent was constructed. They had to do this otherwise the tent would tear

I realized we couldn't wait for the guys cleaning the roof to be done before we wash the outer body of the tent
If we wait it'll be time we were wasting so immediately I noticed that water had finished up the roof I urged those I was working with to speedily wash,rinse and fold the sides up. We did this while also begging the guys up not to pour water as any dirty water they pour would mess up our work- they agreed.

Refreshment

Once everyone was done working we all entered the tent as the sun had come out and we were waiting for refreshment. Refreshment arrived a while later and you could see the smiles on people's faces. 😁

We gathered to eat but unfortunately the 'meal' didn't get to me, I was promised mine tomorrow. I'm glad I participated in this washing and with all my heart.
