STEEMALIVE COMMUNITY UYO ROAD SHOW DAY 1 WAS A SUCCESS

Hello my wonderful people of steemalive community, it is my delight to bring to your notice that we, the steemalive community members in Uyo were able to participate in the road show in our city and it was a success. See what I mean below

THE LOCATION

I announced in the post I made about the show that we will 2 days ago that we are yet to decide where to go for the road show. But we finally made out decision when we got ready to go.

I got to the office by 9:50am and waited for other steemians who indicated interest to join us. With time, they all arrived and we made our decision to go to University of Uyo, township campus for the show. It was about 20minutes drive from my office. We got into a public transportation to the location. We started with the people in the vehicle as they all looking at us wondering what we were promoting.

Below are the pictures we took before leaving and the one showing the first person in the vehicle that we started with. We gave him the flier and explained steemit to him.

AT THE VANUE- UNIUYO TOWNSHIP CAMPUS

On arrival, we sought for a location to pitch our roll up stand. However, we were beckoned upon by someone that picked interest in the t-shirt and wanted to know what we were promoting. He listened to us and then showed us were to start. Just close to the school gate but at a place where is not out of bounds.

There passersby and students were attracted to us. They were all interested. It was amazing. We became celebrities one hand, haha.
I also meet an old time steemian who said he had been a blogger since 2016 but became inactive when steemit was bought over. I asked about his username, he could not figure it out. I invited him to our meetup on Sunday. I hope he comes because he was very happy and excited to see us and with the explainations I gave him about how steemit has changed since then, I am sure he will like to resume blogging.

@ijelady could have joined us but she were visited by some kids who wanted her to assist them with their posts. She happily attended to them.

THE WEATHER

It had been raining daily in my city of residence but this day, there was no rain. It was sunny instead and this made us enjoy our road show. The sun eventually become too hot that we had to seek refuge in a Conner there and to help us regain energy, we took a little refreshment

We spent not less than 2 hours there before we all retired to our various locations but we took pictures as a group

I and @benson6 went back to my office and rested a while before going to the training center to meet @ijelady. We took some pictures.
Everyone wants to join steemit. The interest is increasing day by day. I can't wait for steemit to become a household name.

It was a joyous moment and I am very happy to have taken part in this show. As at the moment, we have one who has called back and was assisted by @goodybest to sign up.
@gentlesly is the person that has signed up.

Someone chatted me up on WhatsApp that he/she got my number from the flier we distributed. As at that time I was very busy but I just gave him a link to the frequently asked questions and told him to go through and get back to me. Here is a screenshot of our conversation

I will soon chat him up if I didn't hear from him. I believe that more will still enquire about steemit.

What better way can I assist in sharing the goodnews about steemit and steem if not to participate in a show of this nature. I am happy to have taken part.
