Introduction

Every day is a great opportunity in life, a privilege and a great experience. What determines our happiness is how effective we use our time and how best we do what gives us joy, especially in pleasing our creator.

Sunday morning activities

Waking up was a blessing. Normally, I clean the house on Sundays, Dress for our Christian meetings, and attend them on zoom. That was exactly what I did on Sunday, but this time it was an assembly, consisting of numerous talks and programs, crafted to teach us God's word, to love God Jehovah, and to have faith in God.

The assembly program was tagged "Exercise Faith". It was designed to train and equip us on the importance and urgency of exercising more faith in God, how to do it and to what extent. It consisted of more than 10 different speakers on 7 major themes and topics, including symposiums. It was really faith strengthening! Basically, the life experiences of Isaac and Rebecca, Esther and Timothy of old were scrupulously looked into and we learned how we can imitate the way they exercised faith in Jehovah God.

The assembly took me approximately 6 hours to watch. It had two sessions, morning and afternoon sessions. After watching the morning session, I had the opportunity to take breakfast.

The afternoon session was two hours and few minutes. So. After watching it, my battery was almost drained so I had to charge my phone.

And by the time I was done with it, it was already afternoon. Guess what, I was as hungry as one who had not eaten at all.

Sunday afternoon activities

As a matter of fact, Sundays are good opportunities to visit friends, entertain friends, have fun, and enjoy life, because it's weekend. I went to check on one of my friends and we discussed for long. We talked about life issues and how we have been coping since before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. It was a fruitful conversation. He gave me suggestions and clues on how to improve my business and my life. He also received some advice and encouragement from me.
Since he didn't cook that Sunday, he took me out to a nearby restaurant where we had fun, ate and had more conversations.

As a lover of football, I was also able to watch some football games for the weekend, from the English Premier League and the England FA Cup. Though my friend wasn't too familiar with football matters, we watched and enjoyed it together. Subsequently, my favorite team, Chelsea had already won their Own FA Cup game against Middlesbrough by 2 goals to nothing on Saturday. I was really happy that they were going to play the semi finals next.

Another friend of ours also joined us at the restaurant later and we ate together and had conversations. Definitely, my day was full of encouragements.

By the time it was evening, we parted and went to our various homes. I came home full and satisfied.

Evening Activities

Fortunately, when I got home, The friend I stay with already subscribed our DSTV decoder. I was happy and gave him part of the subscription funds. We watched movies together, and later by 9pm, we watched a very exciting match between Real Madrid and Barcelona at the Santiago Bernebau Stadium in Spain.

I liked Barcelona team right from the days of Ronaldinho, Gudjohnson, Ibrahimovich, Iniesta, Xavi, And down to Messi. Watching those players was a great joy, especially Messi and Ronaldinho. Even though Messi had left Barcelona, I still have that likeness for the team because I really like the way most of its players play the game. Also, one of the club legends which I admire was recently appointed as the Club's manager, namely, Xavi Hernandez.

In this Spanish El-Classico game, Barcelona wiped Madrid 4 goals and battered them thoroughly. On the score sheet was Aubameyang who scored two , Ferran Torres and Araujo. It was a very exciting game and I much admired the result.

After the game by 11, I was already sleepy and decided to bath first, after which I chatted some friends on WhatsApp. I also had some engagements on Facebook and Instagram to keep the fun alive. That was how my day went, and I definitely slept off with my phone in my hand.

Conclusion

All of us have friends, hobbies and preferences. If we adapt to doing things that make us happy, we will achieve a lot for the day and always be happy. During weekends, we have a lot of time to get the best out of rest and fun. It's left to us to schedule our time well, work during the week, and rest and relax during the weekend.
