Morning Activities

The joy in the anticipation of meeting new friends is special. We planned a hangout with friends, and the preparation was way down. When I woke up, all I thought about was how the day was going to be at Whispering Palm Park. What3Word

After getting ready and meeting up with the driver, many friends converged at our pick up point before 10am. We were more than 15 in number and we took of for Badagary, Lagos.

Badagary is at the most distant outskirts of the Lagos state environs. The journey was scheduled to be a two hour journey. But due to traffic and unexpected delays, it took us three hours to reach the location.

Afternoon Activities

Whispering PalmWhat3Word is a very beautiful and amazing place to be. It has a museum containing extracts from the time of slave trade in Nigeria. It also has a Lagoon lying across its ends, and numerous spots for recreation and games. Most importantly for me, it has a swimming pool.

We took pictures together, toured around the museum and also took pictures with the intriguing things we found there.

Before 4pm, we have already toured the whole place and ate the food we came with. Nevertheless, most of us wanted to swim, so we headed to the swimming pool and paid swimming fees per person.

One of my hobbies is swimming and I enjoy it with friends.

By 6pm, we were done and ready to leave for home. So we set off. The road was busy and due to long distance and lots of traffic, we were stuck at different locations for many minutes. Finally we reached our initial pick off point and by then, many people have dropped on the way to access their homes easy from different locations.

Evening Activities

By 10pm, I was already at home, so I had to bath, eat and go straight to the bed. I got some of the pictures we took from the friends on whatsapp, chatted with most of them to check if they have reached home safely, then I started dozing off. That's practically where my days activities ended. I hope you enjoyed reading.

Conclusion

The hangout was enjoyable and memorable. I was able to make new friends and acquaintances. We ate together, did everything together and had fun together.

Once in a while, it's good to make out time and have fun with the right set of friends.
