There is light at the end of the tunnel: True life story
Our world itself is highly covered with thick gloom and it's only the experienced ones that can unveil it's light. Therefore, such course requires patience, endurance and faith. To illustrate my saying, let me drop a true life story. It's a story involving 2 friends that travelled to Lagos state in hunt of a better future. Remember, we want to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
True life story
There us this two friends I well know. Both finished secondary school same time. Their names are Stanley and Iheariorochi. One day, Iheariorochi brother residing in Lagos state Nigeria asked him to come over because he wants him to learn a trade. He accepted. He told his friend and he too showed interest. Iheariorochi told Stanley to wait for a while because, he must pave way for him.
On his way to Lagos
Iheariorochi boarded a night bus to Lagos. Quickly, his brother took him to a young guy who will teach him the trade. Few weeks later, he approached his master on behalf of his friend. His master accepted and Stanley then travelled to Lagos to learn same trade.
Few months later
Months later, their master assembled all his boys(general, his apprentice are referred to as his boys) He asked them why they have decided to steal his money. Therefore, he gave order that they should be beaten as it's their custom at the market. After the beating, struggle continued.
Stanley told Iheariorochi that he can't continue to serve for good 7years with that kind of beating. But Iheariorochi encouraged him to endure because, he is seeing light at the end of the tunnel. He disagreed and quit. Iheariorochi and brother harbored him for months and later, he found a petty work.
As for Iheariorochi, he kept on progressing. His industriousness was clearly seen by all. Later, Stanley started stealing from Iheariorochi's savings. The brother cautioned him and he went back to village.
Finally, it's 7 years
At the end of the seventh year, Iheariorochi's master threw a great feast for him and settled him peacefully. According to him, he is the best among all. From that very day, he too became Oga(master).
His achievements
He now have more than 20 boys and have settled more than 10 boys of which some are millionaires today. He built a house over there in Lagos where he is residing and also built one here in our city for the mother. He also own his own personal car and have bought one for the wife. Wow, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I could remember the day I spent time with him, I saw a mark on his face, I inquired to know why and he said to me, *it's the mark I received back then as a servant, my master angrily beat me because his money got missing not knowing that am not faulty.
How is Kingsley today
He is nothing but village champion driving an old Keke. Living in the same house with his parents and sharing one room with his wife and children. Whenever the wife gives birth, it's Iheariorochi that will pay the hospital bill for him else, the wife will overstay in hospital. The last time I discussed with him, he said and I quote:
Nne, honestly, am suffering. I wished I know, I wouldn't have come back. chei, look at me now rubbishing my life over here just like that and the worst is the fact am married. If to say am still single, I will travel back to learn the trade at any cost maybe, in the hand of Iheariorochi
Friends, let me throw out his confession. He said he was the one that stole that his master's money out of greediness.
Truly, there is light at the end of every tunnel.
