It's a pleasure to come back again with a special topic that will reveal in detail what life was like here in Nigeria before the invention of electricity, camera and internet.

Before proceeding to the topic, I want to let you guys know that I've been offline as a result of poor health (Malaria and Typhoid). Though on sickbed, it's my sole duty to entertain my blog viewers and lovers.

Therefore, base on this week's contest topics, I've chosen to reveal how life was like before and after the invention of each of the above mentioned.

One day, I approached my Dad, asked him how life was like before the invention of electricity. Dad told me that all they know then was lantern. The type am talking about here is kerosene lantern and the one known as Npanaka.

Life after the invention of electricity

Invention of electricity changed our life completely. Both negatively and positively. First, let me talk about it's positive effects.

The positive effects

• The invention brought development
• It created job opportunity for our people
• It made life simple
• It made communication easier

The negative effects

• It has lead many to early grave
• Electric shock
• It causes fire outburst
• It causes High blood pressure (loss of expectation)

It's improvements

Years ago, electricity was only available to rich and educated men and women. But, currently, both young and old, rich and poor now makes use of it.

Before the invention of camera, people lived a care-free life. They keeps no live memory of the past. Infact, Many of our family members died before we were born. All we heard is stories about them. To us, it's as if it's just a myth because, we didn't see any of their pictures.

The positive effects

• Camera helps us to capture and keep live memories
• Camera helps to capture important things

Negative effect of camera

• Camera is expensive
• Some pictures brings bad memories
• It's maintenance is high

It's improvements

When camera was invented, according to my parents, it was in black and white. But as years passes by, presently, it's now in beautiful color output which adds luster to our images.

Before the invention of internet, anyone that wants to have fun must go out from his hut in search of friends. Communication was only face-to-face. You can't even reach a friend living outside the states. A time when the word web attributes only to spiders. Infact, live then we as miserable.

Positive effects of internet

• It helps us to keep friends globally
• It cures high blood pressure
• It provides job opportunities
• It helps to keep records
• We can now attend tertiary institutions through internet (on-line classes)
• Through internet, we can now sell or purchase goods from the comfort of our home.
• It aids in research

Negative effect of internet

• It has caused many not to keep secrets
• It's now the easiest way to gossip
• It's now the easiest way to fraud
• It exposes people to bad friendships
• It's now the easiest way to blackmail others
• It has led many to early grave

The improvements

Year after year, month after month and day-by-day, they keeps on updating the internet and that has contributed to our success.

Conclusion
