Here are five meals I enjoyed within the week
Who on this earth can survive without food? It's obvious that none is the answer. Thanks to God for his infinite love and mercy to us by giving us all we need to satisfy our hunger. So, in today's content, am going to unveil few among the many meals I enjoyed within the week. Let's move ....
Porrage plantain:My lunch
This is porrage unripe plantain with vegetable. Plantain is among my favorites both ripe and unripe.
- The chef: Who on earth do you think can prepare this delicious meal rather than me? hmmm, dear friends, am the Mr chef. Personally, I spent my time and prepared it to my taste and it served as both lunch and dinner. If you're interested to taste this food, just tell me instead of salivating over there. 🤣
- The cost: Plantain is now one of the most expensive foods here in Nigeria right now. So the meal cost me NGN 3000 only which is equivalent of 16.6 steem because some of it's ingredients are from my farm.
- Ingredients- : The ingredients include the following: red oil, crayfish, fish, stockfish powder, pepper, salt, onion, tumeric, garlic and ginger.
Dinner
What you're seeing up there is porrage unripe plantain with papaya(paw-paw)
- The chef: It's the work of my hands and brain
- The cost: The plantain cost NGN 3000 while the papaya cost NGN 200. So, in total, it amounted to NGN 3200 which is equivalent of 17.7steem
- The ingredients: Remember, I said earlier that this meal served as both lunch and dinner. So, the ingredients is same with my lunch.
Rice with stew: Breakfast
The meal you're seeing there is white rice and stew. Rice is a whole grain rich in carbohydrates. So, it's starchy food. To add luster to it, I garnished it with stew prepared with fish.
The chef: As usual, am the chef. I prepared it to my taste. Honestly, if you haven't taste my food, you're missing out ooo. 🤣
The cost: I spent NGN 2500 (13.8steem) for the meal.Ingredients: Groundnut oil, fresh tomatoes and pepper, salt, onion, tumeric, garlic, ginger, fish and water.
I don't use any type of sachet spice on my food or stew because they are chemically processed causing series of ailments including diabetes. Please, if you have a diabetic patient, please, make sure not to add sachet spices on his/her meal. If you doubt my sayings, then, 2 things are involved. (1)Either to check the contents of any ingredient you purchase or (2)Try ignorance
Jollof rice and beans/lunch
Beans is rich in protein while rice is rich in carbohydrates. Therefore, the mixture rhymes.
- Who prepared it? It's my lovely one and only mother that prepared it.
- The cost: it costs only but NGN 2000(11.1 steem)
- Ingredients: oil, onion, ginger, fresh tomatoes and pepper, tumeric, dried fish, water and salt.
Rice and papaya: breakfast
Breakfast is something I desired so much that I hardly miss it. The food you're seeing up there is white rice and stew with papaya (pawpaw). I enjoyed both together and they served as my breakfast.
Chef: @marajah is the best chef ever. I think, it's the best So the meal up there is the artwork of my humble self.
The cost-: I prepared it with a token of NGN 2900 (16.1 steem)
Ingredients: The ingredients are not scarce. So, I think you can prepare same kind food. So, below are the ingredients I used.
The end
All the above mentioned meals I enjoyed within the week and each made my day. But, in all, the one I enjoyed most is the unripe plantain with papaya. What do you think? Any caught your fancy? Am eagerly awaiting for your response.
