The Diary games: Day10

Dear diary, been a while since I posted here , I have been busy with some other tasks on the platform. Now that the contest is coming to an end tomorrow. I figured I’d just try to make up for the days I skipped.

The morning was beautiful, the morning sun shone through the silk curtains, showering my half closed eyes with it’s beautiful rays. It almost looked like the lucid and golden sun was smiling today. Seems the rain decided to take a break. As usual the sonorous chirping of birds greeted my ears. At a point I wished I could understand what they were chirping about. Listening closely you’d notice there was a rhythmical pattern to the chirping.

I sluggishly got out of bed. Went to the bathroom to get some water on my face. I stared at the mirror and Damn I realized i was in dire need of a haircut. The hair was already out of shape. I trudged to the fridge to get some snacks: Some Pringle’s to be precise.
Went about my morning chores rather swiftly. Did a little jogging and had some breakfast

In the afternoon, I decided to get a hair cut. Spent a couple of hours in the saloon due to the queue. I finally got my hair cut, decided to do something new so I relaxed my hair to give it a little curl. I was pretty impressed afterwards with the result.

I wasn’t really in a hurry so I decided to walk home to exercise my legs a little. I finally got home and I was greeted with what I refer to as the most beautiful site of the day. A new electricity pole was being erected for the neighbors. The previous pole fell due to a terrible storm and they were experiencing a lot of issues. They could go days without electricity, Sometimes they even had to come to our house to iron their clothes or use a blender. But that was all over now.

I was euphoric about how the day was playing out. I went on to help my parents run some errands. I actually got good comments from my dad concerning my hair.
Lunch was great. Mum made us fried rice and beef, I’ll be adding a picture of the delicacy, I ate a couple more plates and in no time I was full. I started feeling like I needed to throw up.

I later retired into the room to take a nap..I woke up around 5:43 pm. Went over to the parlor to watch some Tv. After an hour or so I decided to go do some online window shopping l. I have been having some issues with my phone lately and I haven’t had any money to change it. My dream phone is the IPhone XS Max. I’ll be adding the pictures so you can all see it. I have always dreamed of it since day 1. It has a lot of specs I really admire.

I was pulled out of my fantasy by a call from my dad, he needed me to iron some of his clothes.

Night time
I watched the news with my dad, there was a dreadful incident that occurred here in Lagos. An oil tanker exploded taking a lot of lives.
According to the reporter “There was a massive leakage in the tank, and unfortunately on the expressway one of the tires of the tanker got burst causing the rims to scratch the floor, which caused sparks that triggered the explosion” lives were lost , injuries were sustained and public properties destroyed."
News like this Is never soothing to hear. I feel for the families of the deceased. May their respective souls Rest In Peace. Amen.

We had dinner around 9pm. A sumptuous meal of Yam porridge.

Now I’m about to go to bed. I wish you all a wonderful night.
