There was a country filled with milk and honey, endowed with mineral resources, there was a country where living was filled with smiles and laugher. There was a country where suffering was least, where people sacrifice themselves and legacies for their nation. There was a country where loyalty is the pledge. There was a country where things was moving forward and educational system was valued and made the highest. There was a country where the safety of lives is everyone priority.
Hello family, welcome to another edition of there was a country. I write this with tears on my eyes in one little way or the other all of us have experience the economy setback of a country we call our own. Sit tight as I ride on.

My dreams for better world

Everyone dreams about having a better world, a better future, a life full of happiness and smile, a life without suffering, a life without extonshing pain.

Though wasn't born during the olden days, but stories heard from older ones makes me to just steer and look. A fight for Biafra, fight during the war, fight for freedom, fight from being colonized was being talked about, food being eaten during those remains a mistery because I can't find myself eating. People sacrifice their lives, risk everything they had for freedom of a nation. Where is the nation now.

A nation which have being slated, nobody fears blood anymore. Human lives is not appreciated. Someone can wake up one morning and hear bad news up and down, bad news is the order of the day. Nothing is moving forward. People are suffering, people are dieing every single day, insecurity is the order of the day. I weep, when will my dream for a better world come from a country I call my own.

Stories have being heard, a country once called a giant of Africa filled with natural resources and intelligent and able bodies citizen. Oil and gas was once exported outside the country, natural resources was once exported and used as revenue but now unemployment, insecurity,poor educational system,bad economy, corrupt leaders, bad infrastructures and broken marriages. What more can we hope for, it's all getting worst day by day. It affects each person one way and the other, the one that pains me most is insecurity.

Insecurity in a country I call my own

The insecurity level is the worst, you step out from your comfort not having an assurance you will still come back safely. If you step out and come back safely, you need to thank God. Human blood is not feared. A group will wake up one morning and attack a locality and kill innocent people, slate their blood like chicken and those people still live their normal life without anyone questioning them. Kidnapping and ritual is the order of the day, you don't know the bus one will enter, boom it's kidnapers vehicle or people for ritual. Human lives is no longer valued, I weep.

Poor educational system

There was a time education was valued, graduate earn their respect and companies are ready to recuit freshly graduate for employment. Now what is happening, a graduate is a bus driver, a graduate is working as a sells girl in a bar, a graduate is riding okada, a graduate is selling okarika in douglas market. Nigeria which way.

Educational system is poor, a course of 4 years have turned into 8 years of study because of yearly strike, poor payment of workers, it's still students that will suffer it all. I lament on this, a candidate for presidential election buys form for expression of intension for primary election for 100million. How much is Asuu asking for? For payment of workers but a political candidate have 100million for form. Workers are not being paid, there is hunger in the land, people are dieing, people are suffering. Let's hope for the future.

How I want things to change

• People should elect better candidate during election, collecting bride now and chain your future generations into slavery, isn't wise enough.
• Government should have consious for once and know that there subjects are suffering and dieing.
• Political rally Should be handled properly and there should be no lost of lives, because human life is valuable.
• Government should endeavor to build more industries and companies for graduate.
• The bad eggs in government should not corrupt the little once that have small conscience.
• Educational system should be looked into.
• Infrastructures should be provided and established, and existing once should be made use of.
• Security system should be improved on because human life is valued.

Conclusion

The leaders of tomorrow, when we they be given a chance to be a leader. I sang this when I was in primary school up till now, the same set of people are still ruling and in political position, when will young people be given a chance. We still hope for tomorrow.
