Steemgrowth - Promote Steem in your city and sign up a new user

Greetings to you all energetic steemiains. I have come again to share my joy on steemit with you. Today own will be on Promotion. In this Contest, @steemalive asked us to promote steemit and sign up a new user. I did that and was able to sign up @nao3 few days ago but today she came to my office to write her Introduction post. Please i will love you to read along as i explain how it happened in detail to you. Reading of this post is free so feel happy to read all.

What are your promotion methods.

I invited her to our weekly training to learn about steemit and make decision if she likes what she will hear. To my surprise, she came very early than I expected. She was in pain because of a boil on her finger but that didn't stop her from coming. I was motivated to the point that i began to call others that i invited too.

She sat quietly with her note book and took record of all that we discussed. At the end of the training, i asked her if she has question but she said no. I asked her question and she said she will ask question when the time reach. When everyone was about going, she said to me, register me and we helped her create an email as the one she had did not receive message. Her registration was successful but She could not write that day.

What materials and branding did you use?

I used word of mouth to tell her steemit. When she came for the training, she saw me wearing food4thought t-shirt and she also saw our banner. She went to the banner and read what is written on it. I think that motivated her the more as she saw what steemit is and who can join steemit.

What are the challenges you faced in promotion?

One of the challenge i faced was that her Interest on that first day was not really strong so i have to tell her my personal testimonies and that of those i helped to join steemit. I also explained in detail the steemit Vision and Mission. It took hours of discussion before she decided to give it a trial. How can we make Steemit more attractive to new users.

We have to be honest with them from day1. We should not present steemit as a get rich quick system rather as an education and informative platform that reward you you for contributing to growth of the platform. Another thing is by helping them to understand the platform very well. The next is to share success stories with them. We should allow people to decide to join steemit. Help them to see the value you are offering them. Don't present steemit as a platform that welcomes any how person NO present steemit in a way that, even if the person did not join steemit, he can encourage another person to join

How did you convince the newbie to join?

I have mentioned it before that I have to sit down and explain steemit to her. I also invited her to our weekly training. I assured her that i will teach her all that she need to understand on steemit.

In Conclusion, we need to Promote steemit in a professional way. Share the right information. Place value to the platform
