Introduction
Sometimes in life we look down on people because of their look. For example you see a young Man walk into your company and demand to buy some of your products that worth millions of dollars but looking at his appearance, he is not up to $10. There is that tendency to tell him you don't have it or ask him if he is sure if what he is asking. It has happened is so many places and such people who judge book by its cover lost huge amount of money or favour. In a story i am going to share with you now is exactly what happened to Acient Isreal and many of them lost God's favour.
The real story
This is story of a young Man who is to liberate a nation but his look and background was quite different from it. The nation Isreal was expecting a great Man full of energy from a well known family but the reality was the opposite. Instead of him Jesus coming from a well known family, he came from lowly family. At his birth, his parents offered little dove on the cleansing day to show that they were not rich. His father beast a carpenter and the leaders even mock him by saying, is this not the Son of Joseph the carpenter?
On the day he read a prophecy by Isaiah that God has sent him to heal the sick, open the eyes of the blind and comfort the meal once, they looked at him as someone who do not understand what he was saying. They were busy waiting for the right savior to come. He started his peaching and said God's kingdom is in there must yet they were not satisfied to the point that many came asking if he is the savior that they waiting for.
Jesus performed so many miracles yet they did not put faith in him rather they accused him of doing those powerful work with the power of the demons. The scripture showed that his dressing was not different from that of his disciples so people find it difficult to different him from them onles they ask question.
On one occasion, he opened the eyes of a Man born blind and the pharisees opposed his work because they don't believe that some one from lowly family like Jesus is doing all that. This is because h did not appear rich. He associated with the poor and the meal. This worsen the whole situation.
Because he was close to Mary Magdalene who was ones a prostitute. They said, if truly this Man is from God, he would have known who Mary Magdalene is. They accuse him of being a drunkard, yet he was busy doing the work his father ask him to do. The day he.sat on the donkey as the promise messiah, people celebrated him as the king but these pharisees were blind to recognize him because they were judging the book by its cover.
They lost completely the favor of God, the blessings of everlasting life. The hope of resurrection. The privilege of being God's Son. They lost the privilege they had in the nation because as Jesus said, Their city was completely destroyed by their enemy nation. All those who trust and believe him recieved that hope of everlasting life in heaven and on earth.
The morale lesson for everyone.
It is not good to conclude that someone is wicked when he has not done you anything wrong just because of his face.
Do not insult your client because he or she did not dress well.
Do not tell your student, you will not make it because he doesn't look intelligent.
Get to know someone or something very well before y speak abusively if it.
I have a friend called mummy Chibuike but her real name is Esther. She does not smile. Her is always tight and fearful. She always look straight when she is going to the market and doesn't greet anyone. People said a lot of things about her and one day I decided to greet her when she was passing my shop. She responded and I asked her to buy things for me on her way back.
To my surprise she bought things for me and invited me to her house. When I went, she asked me why I greeted her and asked her to buy something for me. I told her that i want to to out a smile on her face.
She said, I am not wicked ooo but my face scar people from me but anyone who tries to come close to me is loved by me.
It started like that until I came to know her very well. She Introduced her mother in-law to me and gradually, i became their family friend. Mummy Chibuike became my friend and many people came to know me through her.
Conclusion
From my first story about Jesus and the nation of Isreal and my personal experience about Mummy Chibuike is a clear evidence that we should not judge book by its cover.
Jesus was totally a disbelieved to those Pharisees and then religious leaders on scroll of Moses. Not getting note that , the Creator can do anything . Even as He told Jesse father of David by Samuel, that Him God look inward not outward . Before anointed David to succeed Saul .
That alone should thought great deal that God wouldn't , sent His lovely and only begotten to earthly rich or wealthy home . But from the pure and clean channelled. In Joseph and Marry .

Exactly, if you didn't get to know more about mummy chibuike, you would have concluded that she's harsh and wicked just as the others thought
Honestly, i was suprise to know that she is very kind and loving.
People conclude another persons life with there outer appearance and at the end they get it wrong
And trust me it's not good
We need to dig deeper about a particular person or thing before we draw conclusions
Yea but people fail to research before coming up with a conclusion, and that's why you see some persons don't communicate with each other

Always chasing after food, as for the change....where do we start from??

At times we think people are wicked with the way they look not knowing they care for others more while those that we think they are caring tends to be the wicked once.
That was why a nigeria actor Zubby Michael said in one of his movies that
"No be every body wey dey smile get Joy"

Great story with very important lessons, i once had this experience i meet a man because i thought he is poor because he looks unkempt i never gave him needed attention till the day he was discharged from my hospital, i was shocked when i saw his people who came to pick him, he is a prince and he is very rich honestly i was ashamed of myself and i learned great lesson and this is similar to the story you narrated Jesus was looked down on because of his physical background and appearance but finally he was the Messiah of everyone.

We should not under rate people because of their looks. We should conduct ourselves properly towards people. Everyone is important. God did not make mistakes when he created us differently.
