My morning activities: preparing for a friend's mother's burial
Meeting point/take off point
The morning was a blissful one! All that was in my mind was the burial ceremony of the mother of my friend and colleague! I was in a haste to do my normal morning chores so that I can met up with others of my friends and comrades in our association known as Uyio Ndito Akwa Ibom who also wanted to come and sympathised with our friend in his mother's funeral service! When I woke, I had to sweep and clean the house and my environment after which I had to went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and also had a cool bath. After bathing, I went to the dinning room and had my breakfast! When I was done with my meal, I went and dressed up for the burial ceremony which was to be held at Ikot Obiokoi Village, in Mkpat Enin Local Government in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
My afternoon activities: My journey to Ikot Obiokoi Village in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, the burial ground
1st breakdown of the minibus
2nd breakdown of the minibus
The journey wasn't an easy one! One of our minibuses had a flat tyre for three (3) consecutive time and the stress was immense! We had to buy and replaced these tyres each time it burst or is deflected! But to the glory of God, we finally reached our destination at around 3pm Nigerian time and by this time, the burial ceremony was at it concluding end, but luckily, we met the processions at the grave side, at least we didn't totally missed out at the event!
