Good day my fellow Steemians! Today on the diary game, I’ll be sharing with you how I spent yesterday being Monday the first day of November, 2021.

Mondays in my present residential location has been slated to be sit at home restricted days and so, I had to make good use of my Monday.

MY MORNING

I woke up to sound of my alarm which have been set to ring by 5:30 on every morning. I quickly stood up headed straight to the bathroom to use the toilet and came back to my room to begin my usual morning devotion which normally lasts for about an hour.

I had initial plan to apply herbicides to the fast growing weed in my compound which was going to be the function of day’s whether forecast owing to the current unusual rainfall that has been occurring lately in this region.
In a bid to carry on my plan of getting rid of the fast-growing grasses in the compound, I needed a Knapsack sprayer and a non-selective herbicide which are available to me. I am professional of this craft (as I have been doing this in my mother’s farm back in my state for years now.) and need not have any issues with mixing the herbicide and the right quantity of water.

GETTING TO WORK
The initial step to take before bringing out my knapsack sprayer out is to consider the possibility of a downpour as such will lead to futile work because, the rainfall will wash away the chemicals from having a prevailing effect on the grasses. The atmosphere was bright and sun started to rise and from my weather forecast, it showed it was going to be a very sunny Monday which was a perfect morning for me to set to work.

I filled the knapsack Sprayer (which is 16 litres) with clean water and then applied 20 centilitres of “UPROOT” herbicide chemical into the water which is the right mixture for stubborn grasses and made it to mix well with the water by shaking the sprayer tank very well. I carried it unto my back and began to spray unto the grasses while I moved from one end of the compound to the other.

Two reasons why I didn’t put on a coverall was because it was a very sunny morning, (I was sweating profusely) and it was not a windy day as the wind may cause me to spray unto myself (which can be dangerous to the naked eyes as the chemicals mixed with the water is toxic).

I continued spraying until the sprayer’s tank got emptied and then I filled the tank again with same mixture as the first because the compound is a big one and the grasses are much. I finished my task, took my bath and took a nap. This was how my morning went.

MY AFTERNOON

After having lunch at noon, I got to see a message on the @steemalive whatsapp group giving an information about a contest which is aimed at campaigning and promoting the steemit platform using #club5050 as case study on our individual whatsapp statuses.

I read the requirements for the contest, instructions and the rewards. I have the requirements and I am qualified and so, quickly resteemed the post as directed and started planning how to go about the contest but then, I realized I would be needing a cardboard paper, crayons, markers and other artistic materials to create a captivating and catchy artwork carrying the campaign contest’s captions. I couldn’t get the materials I needed to create my design as Monday was a restricted day for shops to open so, I needed to wait for the next day.

MY EVENING

At cool of the day, evening of course! I busied myself with an inspirational and motivational book written by Joyce Meyer titled, “BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND”. It is a captivating book that didn’t let me catch a glimpse of any distraction around me while I buried my thoughts deep into the author’s words as we were on a face-to-face conversation with one another.

I kept on getting insights from the book I was reading till I noticed dusk was fast approaching and I needed to make supper for myself. I quickly got up and stepped out of my room to get water so I can cook noodles and eat.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, this was how I spent my Monday. It wasn’t much of an eventful day but I was able to complete the tasks I aimed for.
