Introduction

Dear @steemitblog, I write to apply for the position of Country Representative for my Country Nigeria. I saw the invitation to apply and have gone through all the qualifications that successful candidates for this position must possess. I strongly believe that my CV fits the job description which is why I am writing to apply for this position.

The Role of a Country Representative

The main role of a country representative is to support Steemains in their country both old and new primarily through mentorship. Since I joined Steemit in February 2018, mentorship has been a priority for me. I quickly started organizing weekly in-person classes in 2018 using rented facilities. I continue to do so now too. I have mentored and personally guided hundreds of Nigerias many of whom are still active on the platform today.

When It comes to promotion and organizing events, I started it too in 2018. I went to popular radio stations in the city to make weekly awareness presentation for Steemit from 2018 till now. I did Facebook sponsored ads, through which I got many newbies that have grown to become valuable members of the platform like @talktofaith. I am the initiator of Steem Road Show, the largest, well-coordinated outdoor awareness campaign for Steemit which took place simultaneously across 7 cities in Nigeria between 2020 and 2021, with more than 200 volunteers participating weekly.

When it comes to events and projects, I have organized and executed so many of them including:

• Live and Direct Reporting: A project that encouraged engagement and creativity through daily situation updates
• The Steem Road Show: Steem Promotion campaign at Major Streets and Roads across Nigeria
• The Promoters Club: Trained team of Steem Promoters, which City Coordinators as leaders.
• Plus1kSP Club: A project that encouraged users to power up and get to at least 1000 Sp
• Save2Soar: The first savings and power up project where participants saved 10 steem weekly for 1 year.
• Food4Thought: Steem Promotion project that encourage and rewards newbies that remained active within the first few weeks at least.
• Sell More: Steem Promotion targeting business owners.

Each of the Projects above are designed to encourage recruitment, mentorship, engagement, and support. Impressively, they all achieved and continues to achieve set objectives.

How I met each criteria for Selection

I have carefully gone through the criteria set by the Steemit team for Country Representative Candidates. I believe I met all of them as follows:

• Time Active: I joined Steemit on February 2018. Apart from a brief period of inactivity, I have been very active since then till now, including the last 3 months.

• Amount of SP: I have a total of 19,436 SP. Out of this amount, 16,291Sp is delegated to SteemAlive community.

• Reputation: My reputation is 73.

• Place of Residence: I live in Aba, a City in Southeast, Nigeria. I have stayed in this city for more than 20 years.

• Country Language: English is the official language of Nigeria. I read, write and speak English fluently. Besides, I am fluent in my native tongue Igbo and also in American Sign language.

• CSI I try to the best of my ability to use my account to support as many Nigerians as I can. Infact, Nigerians receive more than 80% of my curation work.

Other things about me

Currently, I support and advocate the club system which the Steemit Team introduced some months ago. I am in club75. When it comes to building Steem power, I also try to the best of my circumstances. As a result of my commitment in this regard, I have never powered down my account and do not intend to do so soon.

As the Founder of SteemAlive community, I regularly organize contests and other projects that have contributed to the growth of Steem in Nigeria. Just like my username, I am focused on my work, and always strive to improve what am doing as a country representative.

Why Choose me?

1. I have contributed much - perhaps the most - to Steem Growth in Nigeria. Without appearing to brag, my works speak volumes. In terms of promotion, recruitment and mentorship, I excel. I personally recruited, mentored and supported more than 150 users from my Country, including some of the big names that are doing well such as @whitestallion, @beckie96830, @ngoenyi, @talktofaith, and many others.

2. I established the first and still the biggest [Steemit Training center] in Nigeria where recruitment, mentorship and promotion takes place

3. I founded SteemAlive community, the first Nigerian community that have raised and nurtured Country Representatives, Community Founders, CryptoAcademy Professors, Community Curators, and other successful Nigerians on Steemit.

The above may not sound too big, but they represent my undeniable contribution to Steem Development in Nigeria. Currently, I am working on the Food4thought and SellMore projects. As expected, the objective remains Steem Promotion.
