Hello everyone, hope you are all having a great day so far, so I'm I.

It's been a great week, a great year in general so far, and I've been doing lots and lots of stuff, ranging from school stuff to hanging with family.
Been more actively involved in construction works, I even decided to visit my cousins, too.

Getting Involved In Construction Works

In relation to my course of study in the university, Building Technology, of recent I started getting more involved in the practical aspects of construction.
Although, I mostly have to search for construction works or sites all by myself, because my institution of learning does not offer much of these practical works, but rather theoretical.

Luckily, I have an uncle who's a registered builder. I had asked to join him at his construction sites, so I could learn through practical experience. To be honest being a part of these practical works actually does make the theoretical aspects of my learning start to make a lot more sense. Now I understand better, several details in construction drawings and can tell why some physical elements of construction are put up/built in the first place.

Last week in my mom's selfcon, I assisted some workers in tiling the building's floors and walls. Doing this, I actually learnt a bit more about tiling. This item of work is almost completed, tho.

Visiting My Cousins

Today, in the absence of lectures. I went to visit my cousins living in the same city as I am, Uyo.
I arrived quite early to catch up with them making akara balls. I had some, myself, with pap made from corn.

Afterwards I assisted with some household chores like, fetching water

and stacking firewood, as their dad (my uncle) is into the firewood selling business.

Meanwhile my cousin was preparing a dish of jellof rice. If I'm being quite honest, she cooks very awesome and tasty meals.

She's also one of my most favorite persons, mostly for her cooking, lol, and because she has such an infectious smile 🙂
