My Family and I
What a wonderful week we are starting, I am super excited to be participating in this weeks engagement contest which is super interesting by the way, where we have to introduce our family members and share fun memories. I hope you enjoy reading.
My definition of Family - A family is a group of people mostly related by blood that live together and have love for one another, being together brings happiness, joy and laughter.
Who are your family members, where do they live. What is their occupation? What special quality do you like in each family member?
My father, who has been and is still doing a very fine job of being my father is Mr Thankgod Roberts. He is the third son of his family and he lives in Rivers State, Nigeria precisely Port Harcourt. I have been living with my dad since I first took breath in this world and it has been wonderful. My dad is a smiley person and an easygoing human although he is also very strict and always ensures to not spare the cane when I and my siblings do something wrong (note: the caning was when I was still a child, I am an adult now🙂).
Occupation- My dad is a civil servant and works for the Government.
Special Quality I like - I really love the fact that my dad is friendly and easy to talk to, I remember days we just sat down and talked about the future, just imagine great things. Till now I and my dad cracks jokes together. He understands my sarcasm.
My mom in the person of Love Roberts T. according to her name exudes love, she is a wonderful and amazing character, she was always there for me and finds a way to help me through any difficult situation. Carried me to school and always followed me if I had any event or exam to attend or write. She is the most beautiful woman in the world. She too always makes sure to correct me and my siblings with the cane.
Occupation- A civil servant (-Guidian Councellor).
Special Quality- I admire that she is a strong woman and knows how to show her love towards me and my siblings and knows how to defend her children and be there always.
The first daughter of my family and my only sister in the person of Victory Roberts, my sister is a lovely character, with the best personality. She is my role model and the one I can tell all my secrets to. She always entertain I and my siblings with stories when we where younger and our parents where not around. She educated us and sometimes brings up the weirdest facts.
She’s always there for me.
Occupation- She is an On Air Personality (OAP), a writer and a Teacher. Also a steemian with username @victoryroberts
Special Quality- I love my sister story telling ability, I always plead with her to tell me a story. I love her she always stay strong and always find a solution to every problem.
My dear and lovely younger brother in the person of Samuel Roberts. When we where much younger we used to be like Tom and Jerry always fighting but always making sure to make up and be the best siblings.
Occupation- Student (-Biomedical Engineer) and forex trader.
Special Quality- I love my brother’s ability to be bold enough to say this is what I want and don’t want.
My sweet kid brother and last child of my family in the person of James Roberts. He is a sweet child and loving brother always looking for my trouble.
Occupation- A student (-Accountant) and steemian with the username @jammyroberts
Special Quality- I admire my brothers attitude of always apologizing whenever he offends someone and I love his ability to plan and always open to learning.
Have you ever been helped in a special way by a family member? Tell us your story.
One time I needed money for a studio Polaroid shoot, because I was applying to a face model agency and I did not have the money to pay for it, my sister gave me the money even when she wanted to use it for something else. I was touched and very appreciative.
Who is your funniest family member?
Well, let me present to you the funniest person in my house. It is myself, I know I am blowing my own trumpet but I am hands down the funniest, I always find a way to make light of situations and bring a smile to everyone’s face. You can call me the family’s comedian.

I do admire your family dear friend. Everyone has got a unique talent which they use to make the family a lovely one.
This is a good thing. Most fathers don't give children the opportunity to talk and open up. This is usually not good as it scares the children away. Some cases the children always don't like being in the presence of their father. If the see him coming home they dash into their rooms. I love the efforts put by your dad to encourage your growth
