INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone and my friends in the Steemit Blockchain Social Network, hope your weekend is going on fine and you are enjoying every bit of all the activities around you there. It is my pleasure to report with you here how my day was spent yesterday.

Firstly, I woke up at about 6.30am so I can start my day because I had already scheduled to do a Detoxification for my body so I need to start early. After my personal prayers to the Almighty God for the beautiful day, I joined my family for the general morning worship at about 8.15am as it was a weekend so my family members don't usually wake up on time. The Bible texts were read and discussed with comments from different family members in the house and finally we wrapped it up with a fervent prayer.

DETOXIFICATION PROCESS

When I traveled home to my village last year December 2021, I collected the herbal medicine that my father usually prepare for treating people with Gastro-Intestinal issues. It takes care of good detox of the system thereby eliminating toxins that had accumulated in the large and small intestines. After taking it, if you had been having issues of not defecating properly, that problem will be solved. It is a good Purgative. So I had to take it in an empty stomach without food. Shortly after about 45 minutes, the medicine starts to work and I started stooling. I went to toilet several times up to 10 times before I took my breakfast at about 12.30pm. It really did purge me. After the food. My system balanced and I fell asleep. I had a nice deep sleep and sweats came out of me fully. This made me know that the medicine really was effective.

At this point, my body was just weakened. So I needed to replenish the lost fluid and I needed good solid food too. I decided to prepare the native Corn meal. I had to mix - corn, millet and cassava together and grind them to powder. I went to the grinding mill.

Grinding my corn flour

After the grinding of the whole food together it now turned into a proper mix as you can see it now in powdered form below.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE

Here in Nigeria, Corn, Millet and Cassava is among the staple foods eaten in different forms by the people, depending on your cultural background and how you love preparing it.

Corn is rich in vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps protect your cells from damage and wards off diseases like cancer and heart disease. Yellow corn is a good source of the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin, which are good for eye health and help prevent the lens damage that leads to cataracts. Corn also has smaller amounts of vitamins B, E, and K, along with minerals like magnesium and potassium.

Millets are high in nutrition and dietary fibre. They serve as good source of protein, micronutrients and phytochemicals. The millets contain 7-12% protein, 2-5% fat, 65-75% carbohydrates and 15-20% dietary fibre. The essential amino acid profile of the millet protein is better than various cereals such as maize.

Cassava is a calorie-rich vegetable that contains plenty of carbohydrates and key vitamins and minerals. Cassava is a good source of vitamin C, thiamine, riboflavin, and niacin.

From the above research findings you can see that eating a whole meal of Corn, Millet, Cassava etc. is a good source of fortification for the health. It serves you all the benefits for good health.

CONCLUSION

My humble advice to you all friends is to give your health a priority check. Try as much as possible to undergo the detoxification program and replenish your health to bounce back to life. If you will like to be natural just like me, avoid ready made corn flour instead you can try the above method that I did, by combining 5 kg of Corn with 2 kg of millet and 1 kg of cassava. Grind them together, and prepare it. Take a little quantity from the grounded flour as you can finish for the day. Add the powdered flour into a boiling water and stirring it together to mix properly for about 10 minutes and your meal is ready. You can use any type of your native soup to swallow it just like we do here in Nigeria.

This a typical example of a soup and the already prepared meal and how it will look like.
