Ancient

This is a box TV that was bought by my younger sister for the family's enjoyment. This TV 's Antenna is manually operated with a very long pole outside by the window corner. Whenever the TV Channels starts to make rainy kind of noise, you know immediately that it's time to go and rotate the pole by turning it to another direction. It has limited stations you can watch and listen to. Bits very sharp in pictures depending on the TV station you selected. Most of its operations are manual. It is a product of LG. In fact it's among the first model that was produced back then in the late 1990s. It's very solid and durable, intact if it falls down it can still stand strong. As at the time of purchase, it's around N10000 to N12000 then. It is still very much in use by some families. Modernisation has taken over. Let's go there.

Modern Flat Screen TV

This is a wall fixed Television. As you can see it is firmly screwed to the wall. It's very flat and fragile too. The screen can easily get cracked and break hence you have to handle it with extreme care. It's being operated using a remote control right from your seat. It's very interesting watching news, films, soap operas, dance, sports, movies, dramas etc. We bought it about N22000 at Alaba International Market some 4 years ago. It's Antenna is operated right from your sit as you press some buttons connected to it. It's very comfortable watching events across the world through this channel. Indeed technology has done a lot of good bringing the world right down to our homes with the use of this gadget called the Television.

Old shoes

Hahahaha, @steemalive you make me laugh. I have many shoes that I have not worn again since the Covid19 pandemic started. My shoes gradually getting old by the day. I usually wore them to my Christian Congregation Meetings but now I am not yet going due to public restrictions gathering. These were my fine 'koikoi' shoes. I bought them at different times at a popular shoe market. These shoes some are 7 years old. I think bought them like N700.00 to about N500.00 I can't remember exactly.

Recent shoes

As we must go out to different places, we need nice and comfortable shoes. I bought the most recent shoe here last year November 2021 at a popular Okrika market (Second hand) in Vespa Market. It was sold for N1200.00 that's the Sleepers with green colour, and the white also same price. The red colour shoe was bought in 2019 for N1500. The stone Sleepers was bought in 2018 at the Idumota market for N2000.00 or so. They are all durable.

These are button phones. You need to press them hard to type. The screen is very small. These 2 phones are strong and are still functional. The only thing here is that it's storage capacity is small. The Techno was sold for about N12500 then. Now new technologies has come. I migrated to the Palm Top and Tablets. Check it out below.

The Tablet

This is a very strong phone with a lot of features as you can see. It's what am using for my Blogging and pictures too. It's memory capacity is large so I store a lot of information in there. I use it to read the Bible, watch videos, check the Time etc. Just look at the features all written on the screen. I bought this phone N18,000.00 in 2019 as London use at Alaba International Market.

The Tablet my children use it for our Christian Congregation Meetings, since we do online worship these days due to the pandemic. It's easy to operate once you master the buttons and their functions. We handle them with care. The Tablet is about N15,000.00 as we bought it fairly used.

Ancient

This is our DVD that we bought in 2009. As at that time, it was the best DVD Operating system. You connect it directly to the TV and it starts to display all the videos that are to be played from the CD. It is very sensitive and selecting only the good original cassette that are not adultrated. It is also solid and durable product made by Phillips Electronics. I cannot remember exactly how much we bought it back then.

Satellite Dish

We got this gadget in 2019 at Alaba International Market. It was bought for about N5000.00. We fell in love with this gadget because it contains a lot of free Channels so we don't have any need to buy GoTV. Freely we were enjoying the DW World news and other reports from around the globe. Unfortunately, it got burnt beyond repair due to high voltage. All we did was to get a new one as you can see below picture.

Modern Satellite Dish

This was just bought last week to replace the former one that got burnt. The cost is N7500 at Alaba International Market. With this OxCarcia digital Satellite receiver that is connected to the TV you can see the world at the tip of your fingers. Listen to world news, movies, sports, just name it.

Old gadget

This Megaphone Speaker although old is very much important to us for our Christian worship. Since the pandemic started, in 2020 when we started online Bible Study, it has been helping us greatly to echoe sound so you can hear clearly from the speakers. It has other features too like Radio, USB etc. It is universal as it uses battery and electricity to function.

Ancient gadget

This is another Speaker but it's very old and yet still functioning. It's from here modern advances come up to the Bluetooth era.

Old Speaker

Another Speaker that I use on my Laptop to listen to speakers and music

Going down to memory lane, there are still more of this gadgets That are far stronger and durable than what we have today received n the market.

Those ancient shoes, hmm I can imagine how you enjoyed them when they were new.
Anyways, it is always good to replace old gadgets with new ones as it makes things easier and faster though some old ones are stronger than the new ones

@essygold, steemalive really made us remember a lot oo. Those ancient shoes looks funny but it wasn't when it was in voke. I used to have that ancient TV until the modern flat screen surfaced....

Exactly so @ninapenda. Thank you so much.

The old button phone beside the old Tecno phone looks like my mum's old Motorola phone she used those days. Really!😂
