Corruption and Bribery
Corruption:corruption is just an act of not being honest and also an illegal behavior. Corruption is mostly practiced by people that are in power like Government officials. Corruption can be seen in different forms and they are fraudulent activities, nepotism, bribery, embezzlement, lobbying and so much more are seen as corruption and the law of every country is against it but it is done by the people that are suppose to protect the law.
Bribery:Bribery is one form of corruption and is an act of an official to take bribe "shut up money" and does what is wrong.
Why is bribery and corruption common
Just as the bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil. When a person gives you money to do a certain something and you have never seen/owned such amount or you have problem to solve with that money,You must be forced to take the money and do evil that is why bribery and corruption is very common. There are many reasons why bribery and corruption is common but the summary of them all is

How Bribery and corruption occur in my country
Here in my country the rate of corruption and bribery is very high and it is still growing. Corruption is seen as food here in my country because it is very common by our leaders and has circulated all over the country,not just the country but all over the world. Corruption and Bribery occurs in different ways in my country and below are some of the ways
Bribery and corruption occurs in the law court where the judges take money from the victims and pass out judgement on the favor of the victim that pays a higher amount of money not minding wether the victim is against the law.
Bribery and corruption occurs in schools during West African Examination Council(WAEC) where the students pay money and they are being allowed to do malpractice and those that refuse to pay will be dealt with.
Voters are today are being told to get there PVC and during the election they will offer them a huge amount of money that they know the people can not resist and tell them to vote a particular candidate instead of voting the candidate of there choice.
Why it is wrong for public officials to involve in bribery and corruption
It is very wrong for public officials to partake in bribery and corruption because they are leaders and when a leader does the wrong thing it is 100% possible that there followers will join them and that is the problem we are facing today in Nigeria. When a leader is involved in bribery and corruption,it will tarnish the image of the country.
Consequences of public officials who involve themselves in Bribery and corruption
Any official person that is caught in the act of bribery and corruption should be sentenced to jail.
Any official person that is caught in the act of bribery and corruption should be impeached from there various offices
Conclusion
Bribery and corruption is very common and that is why my country Nigeria is the way it is now. Official persons who are caught in the act of bribery and corruption goes and walk freely because the laws are in there hands,and if an individual rise up to talk the person will be killed. This people are meant to protect and defend our law that was created by them but they are the one that is going against the laws.

You've said everything exactly the way they happen. That examination malpractice part is what annoys me most, if only bribery and corruption could be abated
As for examination malpractice is one thing in Nigeria and it's very funny that they now suffer the people who refuse to pay in other to make them pay

Public officials can take bribes in order to make decisions that will benefit them and their family, which can be very dangerous.
Yeah but the idea of corruption and bribery is something that is not new, it has been around for centuries. However, today it is a global issue and has become an epidemic.

This part reminds me of when I had my exams years back and my set of students refused to bribe the investigator and as a result our exams were cancelled, it has been that way because people love money more than doing the right thing in this world.
That's true,now is even tougher that if you don't pay they will suffer infact they will give you limited time,the supervisor will not mark your script and so much wicked act that must make you pay

Yes this issue has been a topic of debate for decades, with some people arguing that it's a necessary evil in order to get things done, while others believe that it's morally wrong.

Justice is now very expensive. In fact, it is difficult to get justice if you do not have money. The Judges pass judgement based on the weight of your pocket. This is so sad. I really wish that they will clean up our judicial systems and ensure fairness and equity. Thanks for this piece @emmanu
Justice is really expensive in Nigeria that is why people routine in jail when they are innocent. Some persons have decided not to study law because it is a saying in Nigeria that all lawyers shall go to hell because of their evil doings

Yeah this has led to a rise in crime rates and the number of people who are incarcerated. There is also a lack of justice for victims who cannot afford to pay for their own defense
The costs of being a defendant in a criminal case has increased dramatically in the last few years. In fact, it is difficult to get justice if you do not have money.

The points you made in this post are really valid. Bribery and corruption has eaten into the fabrics of society. As you mentioned, students are asked to pay so that they will be helped during exams. That is very wrong and actually lowers our standards of education. I really hope that this issue will be addressed soonest.

Bribery and corruption is one of the thing that brings this country backward.
Briebly is also used when a person is doing something wrong but they have done so well by avoiding getting caught that they have managed to get away with it.
One those people giving and receiving bribe, will be punished by the Almighty God.

Briebly is a word that has been around for years, but the meaning of the word was never really defined. Briebly means to make a mess and it is a word that is often used when someone is not very good at something or when they are doing something wrong
Corruption will always happen, but with strong institutions and independent officials, it can be prevented from getting out of hand.
It can be prevented from getting out of hand but it is the people that are meant to prevent it are the ones promoting corruption
