This is my fifth entry of this week prowriters contest and I will be writing the topic 01 high is

What is in a name - local names, popular names and the act of naming.

Name: This is referred to as word or group of words used to address or identify a person,thing, substance etc.

My full Name

My full name is Nyema Emmanuel Holy and below are the meaning of the names:

First Name: My first name is Holy which means being consecrated to God almighty. This name was given to me by my father and that is what my siblings call me.

Middle Name: my middle name is Emmanuel which means "God with us". This name was given to me by Grand father, the man that have birth to my mother.

Surname:My surname is Nyema which means a handsome man. This name is the name of my father and he instructed us to use it as our surname.

Name from my mother:The name mother gave to me is Chukwumezubem, it is a native name that means God has completed it for me. She gave me this new because she believed she will never give birth again and God did it for her making me her last child

Some other extended family members have me different names based on there reasons. All the names given to me is being loved by me and others because of the uniqueness of the names.

In my home town people name there children based on different reasons. Some persons name there children based on what happened on the day the child was born it is either an event, good or bad occurance or even a market day and also name there children the day they where born just like Sunday.

Some persons give there children name because they love the name, they might have planned it even before the child was born while some say the get inspiration from God on what ne to give there children. This is how people choose names in my town.

I really love interesting and meaningful names. There are different names that I really love because it has helped people achieve their goals names like favor, blessing, Emmanuel etc are the names I love and will give my child a name that has a good and interesting meaning whether it is an English or native name.

I also dislike ancient names that has no meaning and these names are mostly beared by our parents. How will a father/mother give birth to a child and called the child Ogaluzor which means someone that always go to the farm, it doesn't make any sense and when they child grows he will start going to the farm everyday.

While growing up I always see people given themselves name even up till now but me I decided not to because I already have numerous names that different extended family members called and I even forget some of the names at times.

I usually use my middle name which is Emmanuel for any online stuff but when I was joining steemit I tried using but I was told that it has being used already so I decided to shot it and ended up answering @emmanu as my steemit username.

Conclusion

Name is an identity both physical and spiritual and needs care before giving it to a child because the name given to a child will surely affect his/her future therefore we should be very careful.
