Greetings wonderful steemians. I'm excited to participate in the 7 day writing challenge contest organised by @steemalive. Well, this is my first entry. I promise you are going to enjoy reading my post.
Services are those intangible things rendered by others. It is a performance offered by someone or group of people. In life there are some services needed regularly because it helps in our day to day activities.
These services include Health care, Arts and Entertainment, Transportation, Social assistance, Recreation, Waste management etc.
In this article, I will be discussing the services rendered by Bank, TV station , Radio station and Pharmacy.

Bank is a financial institution that deals on money. They provide money related services. Banks collect deposits from individuals and then lend those deposits to enterprenuers as loan at a fixed interest.
I currently Bank with Fidelity bank plc, First City Monument Bank(FCMB) and Access Bank plc.
These banks offers a good number of services, these include:
Deposit Acceptance: This is the basic service provided by Banks. Bank allow customers to pay in money. They take care of customer's money and also pay interest to customers.
Loan services: Bank lend money to individuals in need. Those individuals pay with an interest. This is one of the means through which Banks earn money.
ATM services
Debit or credit card services
Insurance services
Foreign currency exchange services.
Remitter (transfer of money): Banks help customers in sending money from one account to another and also from one country to another.
When did you start using Bank service?
I started using bank services in the year 2014. I first opened my savings account at Fidelity Bank plc. Then my aunt worked as a marketer. She convinced everyone to open an account with Fidelity. She personal opened mine and deposit 5000 Naira for me. After some time , I requested for ATM . I have been operating with the account since then. The services I use most is the mobile banking system. Because I credit, debit and perform various transaction using my mobile phone.
I opened my FCMB bank account in the year 2016. I started using their services in the year 2017. I opened the account because of a scheme I registered, and FCMB account was one of the requirements.
I opened Access bank account in the year 2020. I opened the account in Nysc camp. Access bank account was my alawee bank. It was used in receiving Nysc monthly allowance.
What is special about Bank?
Banks are very special because the help us in managing our fund. The special thing about bank is the introduction of online banking. In this case, an individual can access their services without visiting the bank. You can perform any transaction using an online access. This makes it easier for their customers to access the services they render.
Areas to improve in Banks.
Banks should improve in their network connectivity. Most banks in Nigeria usually have unstable network connectivity. These affect their services alot. The slow network services, make banking difficult in Nigeria. Most people find it difficult going to bank because of delay caused by unstable network.
Again, Online banking security is not tight. Scammers have the tendency of getting into a customer's account to withdraw all the fund available in the persons account.
Tv stations

Television station is a station which broadcasts content to an audience. It offers entertainment, and educational services to the audience. It also informs the audience on what is happening all around the world.
Audience access the services offered by tv stations using television. Television TV, is a medium for transmitting moving images and sound. The services provided by tv stations are being paid for, through monthly subscription. There are different TV stations in Nigeria, they include
Africa Magic, Wap tv, channels Tv, Rok, Emmanuel Tv, Galaxy Tv etc.
When did you start using this service?
I started using the services of tv stations since my childhood. Then we had a black and white television where we watch entertaining programs. A black and white television is a monochrome system of transmitting and receiving television signals.
Images are only displayed in white and black color. Television was not rampant then. But recently, about 90% of Nigerians own a television in their homes.
What is special about Tv stations?
Tv stations provide information and entertainment. Watching programs from tv stations helps ease stress. Television is a source of information . Information plays a very significant role in everyone's life. Television also act like a bridge between the governing bodies and general public. The governing bodies passes information to the general public through the tv stations like channel tv, NTA, AIT etc.
Television also help give visibility to brands through advertisment. Customers patronize a brand more if they see it on television.
Areas to improve in tv stations.
Tv stations should improve there engineering sector to avoid break in transmission while an audience is watching an important program.
Radio station

Radio station is a broadcasting organization consisting of one or more transmitters or receivers. They provide entertainment services. Important Informations are passed to the general public through the radio station. They transmit information through the use of Radio.
We have the AM and FM radio station. Frequency Modulation (Fm) is the mostly used radio station. There are more than 100 radio stations in Nigeria such as heartland FM owerri, cool fm, hot fm, wazobia fm etc.
When did you start using the service?
I started listening to Radio station since my childhood. We have always had a Radio at home where we listen to news. My mom do not skip 6am and 6pm news. We also listen to entertainment programs on radio. I always look up to my favorite radio program on the hot fm owerri station every Saturday morning.
what is special about Radio station?
The special thing about Radio station is that you can listen anywhere you are, it reaches a large number of audience quickly. Radio station also gives most recent information to audience.
Areas of improvement
Radio stations should improve in their sound quality.
They should always produce quality shows.
They should stop being bias when talking about politics.
They should allow people to air their views without being interrupted.

Pharmacy is a place where drugs are produced or sold. The primary function of a pharmacy is drug production. Pharmacy offers healthcare services to people.
In a pharmacy you can get any drug of your choice. It is the duty of a pharmacist to ensure that quality medicines are sold to a patient. When a doctor prescribe a medicine for a patient, the patient takes the prescription to
the pharmacy.
Is not the duty of a pharmacist to prescribe medicine for a patient. Though there are some medicines that do not need doctors prescription, they are called over-the-counter drugs. It is very important that a pharmacy should be available around our environs because it offers first aid when there is an emergency.
When did you start using pharmacy?
I started using the pharmacy during my childhood . I always go to buy paracetamol for my parents. Most times they get to write those drugs on a paper, then I run off to the pharmacy, where I will hand over the paper to the pharmacist, who then sort out the drugs I came to buy. Ever since my childhood till now, I have been enjoying the services of a pharmacy.
What is special about Pharmacy?
Pharmacy are special because it provides healthcare services to individuals.
Pharmacy helps to save life, it offer first aid treatment before taking an injured person to a hospital.
Area of improvement.
Pharmacys should stop selling expired medicines.
All medicine sold in pharmacy should be approved by NAFDAC.
They should endeavor to sell antibiotics with doctors prescription to stop patients from abusing drugs.
Conclusion
All the services rendered by Banks, Tv stations, Radio station and Pharmacy are very necessary for human existence. They make life easier for us. And I am grateful to have access to them.
