Childhood is the period of being a child. It is the period between infancy and adolescence. The age ranges from 2-12 years. Childhood is the time when children are appropriately taken care of by our parents.
Lots of care and attention are given to children during their childhood days. It is during this time that all good values and morals are adequately inculcated in a child.

I personally think childhood is the best stage of life. This is because we do not really have any problem to think about, just play, go to school, eat and help out in doing small house chores. It is the happiest stage of life.

My Childhood

My childhood was the most memorable part of my life. It was quite interesting. I was a very quiet and a sick-sick child. I had a wonderful family that always take care of me.

My immediate elder sister was more of my twinny then because we always wear matching outfits, we shared a room and we even went to the same school. I don't really have much childhood friends because all the people I mingled with were my sisters and cousins.

Where I grew up.

I grew up in my hometown at Ngor Okpala, Imo state, with my parents and siblings. We lived in a moderate bungalow house. We lived with my grandma. I have plenty cousins because the family is a big one.
Growing up in an environment surrounded by extended family is such an awesome experience. There are days we fight and argue. Other days too we laugh and support each other. Though at some point in my childhood days, we moved over to the city, in regards to the nature of my parents work.

Primary and secondary school education

The first school I attended was St.theresa's Nursery and primary school. I had my Nursery education in this school. I didn't stay up to 1 academic year in St.theresa.

I was enrolled at St.carols fountain Nursery and primary school, owerri north. I am that one child that never liked going to school. I would run, and cry each time our school bus shows up. I cannot count the number of times I ran away anytime our school bus come to pick us every morning.

All my siblings went to the same school as me. The school was very popular then but far from my house. We had a school bus that take us to school and bring us back after school. In school, I had three friends. I once had a wrist dislocation while I was playing with my friends. It was a very painful experience for me. After writing my common entrance examination I proceeded to secondary school.

I did my secondary school Lumen Christi Girls secondary school, umuewere Nguru, Imo state. It's a missionary boarding school. That school really helped groomed me in chaste and God-fearing lady I am now.

The prank and play I enjoyed most during childhood.

What makes childhood fun is the prank and play that comes with it. There are so many pranks I did during my childhood, but the most enjoyable and unforgettable one is the one we use to do with canter. Canter is the head cover of a drink bottle. It is usually metalic in nature.

What we do is place the canter on a lantern, when it is heated, you looking for somebody around you and place it on the person's back and run. The person will respond in shock and might start chasing you.
Most times, it might result to fight. It's always fun playing this prank. We do not let the canter get so hot, to avoid burning somebody's skin

I played so many games during childhood. I played football, War start, Hide and seek, Suwell and cooking game. In cooking game, I and my cousins will steal cooking ingredients from our various houses. Then we come together, set firewood and then we will start cooking with tin of used tomato as our pot. We usually do that when our parents are not around. Is always fun doing this. After cooking we feed our dolls because the food cannot be eaten, as it is filled with sand.

what I enjoyed most as a child

I enjoyed playing in the rain the most as a child. Whenever it rains, I, my siblings and my cousins all come outside. We would start playing bare footed with our shorts. When ever rain falls heavily, large pebbles will begin to fall. We sing and dance in the rain while struggling to pick the pebbles, so it would melt in our mouth. It was indeed an awesome experience.

Conclusion

I can't stop thinking about how simple and easy life was during my childhood. If only I can go back to those very happy days.
