Introduction

When you hear the word wheel, what comes to your mind?

Wheel is no other than the circle or round iron object that is under a vehicle which helps a vehicle or any moving object to move around.

Without wheels my father's bicycle can not be a bicycle talk more of moving around.

The circle iron object (wheel) has what is called "spokes" which supports the bicycle to transport goods to different destinations.

There are different kinds of wheels with different designs.

This object called "wheel" can be found in:

• Cars
• Bicycle(like that of my dad)
• Wheel barrow.
• Trucks
• Motorcycles.

Wheel basically are for transportations but also wheel are also used for spinning thread, it's also used for navigation, wheel can also be used to generate wind.

Wheel has been very useful and very important as well to humans, now the question is how did we come to know about wheel, who invented wheel and how to use it for our own benefit?

Who Invented wheel ?

Invention of wheel is a result of collective efforts of the ancient Mesopotamian people in the year 4200-4000 B.C.E(before century era)

Invention of wheel is not a single idea, because even before ancient Mesopotamian people came up with this invention, there has been a place where wheel was found in the year 3500 B.C.E, and the Europeans benefited from this invention.

So it is said that no body knew who invented wheel.

History proves that wheel was already in existence before it was found, and the first wheels were potters wheel and they where not used for transportation.

This wonderful invention has been of great relief to humankind, but what was life like before this invention?

What was life like before the invention of wheel

Imagine yourself so tired waiting for a taxi but couldn't find any, this means that you have to walk home by foot no matter how far the distance might be despite being so so tired.

Also imagine that you have luggage weighing about 100kg alongside you, making your journey more hectic and you can't access any mood of transportation, obviously you won't find that moment funny at all.

Remember no wheel no transportation.

Before the invention of wheel it was almost impossible to move goods from one distance to another, tho there were horses and donkeys commonly referred to as beast of burden that was used for transportation of goods bit by bit.

So not just humans were relieved from the invention of wheel even animals were also relieved.

During summer farmers have to drag their goods with a sledge that sticks in the mud making life very expensive and difficult for people.

After the invention of wheel, life became easier and as the days passes by scientists keeps on modifying wheel.

Invention of wheel brought to our modern day so many means of transportation like train, cars and many other moods of transportation.

Invention of wheel brought relief to the disabled because without wheel there will be nothing like wheelchair or scooter.

Conclusion

Science and technology has gone a long way to make life easier for humans, no invention is less important to life, they all brought great relief to human society.
